We are all experiencing the daily attacks on America's values, history, health, economy, environment, civil liberties, rule of law and Constitution being carried out by Mr. Trump and his MAGA officials. These events brought me to run for office and to take a stand against this destruction of our society and economy. Trump would not be able to do what he is doing without the complicity of the Republicans in Congress. While we can do little to correct the travesty of justice we are seeing in Congress, local elections count too and send an important message. I want to help make that happen.
My campaign is based on two major issues:

The first is the need to bring fair representation back to the Rensselaer County Legislature so the variety of interests and concerns of County residents will be heard. This is not happening now.

The second is to remove Rensselaer County from the control of pro-Trump Republicans who continually support the deplorable actions of the Trump administration. The Republicans in our County Legislature are fixated on supporting Trump's actions and rhetoric regardless of the harm done to County residents. This needs to change.
I am a former President of the Rensselaer Land Trust, currently serving on the Board of Hudson Taconic Lands and was the Treasurer of the George Washington School Parent Teacher Organization. I served as a longtime Church Council member and former President of St Timothy Lutheran Church (now Hope Lutheran Church) in North Greenbush and remain active with that parish.

I have three adult children who still live locally and a 101-year-old mother.....who by the way...contributed all her working life to Social Security and Medicare. Republicans are working diligently to destroy this vital support for our senior citizens.

My race includes the Towns of East Greenbush, North Greenbush and Poestenkill. These Towns have been represented by the same Republican legislators for at least the last 8 years. It's time for a change.
