Rensselaer County Legislature - District 1 (Troy)
For almost 20 years, I have lived, worked, owned a home, and raised my children in Troy. My work as a nonprofit leader gives me an understanding of many of the challenges residents are experiencing and the need for public/private cooperation and collaboration to achieve solutions that will make life better for all people in Rensselaer County.
I want to build on my record, shared with the other Democratic legislators, of delivering County funds to Troy.
Most importantly this term, I will work to safeguard our hospital, seniors, veterans and youth in the face of federal Medicaid cuts.
My favorite Troy treasures? The people, the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market, the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, our Troy Public Library (both downtown and Lansingburgh branches), Oakwood Cemetery, and playing in Troy Samba!

Accounting and Finance background will provide me with the ability to understand and interpret Rensselaer County budget and financial issues that will affect residents of the county, as well as the ability to analyze decisions that will impact the county's tax base and potential impacts to property tax rates.
My time on the city council has prepared me to be able to address citizen concerns over the entire spectrum of questions and services available to residents, as well as how to plan pro-actively for future progress and objectives that will benefit our residents.
Solid financial decisions that will affect current tax payers as well as the future direction of the county.
To look to expand senior, youth, veteran, public safety and health services from state and federal sources at minimal impact to the property tax levy.
I will have a disciplined commitment to serve and represent the residents from the city of Troy on the Rensselaer County Legislature.
