Transportation and Traffic, Getting a Public Hospital, and Property Taxes
These issues have the same underlying issue. These three topics are part of a need to address the increasing population on Staten island. We need more resources for district 50. As a Democrat I am well positioned to work on behalf of district 50 and get the much needed resources being part of the council majority.
I believe that Staten Island deserves a public hospital. It is the only borough without this vital resource. Our population is only going to increase and we do not have the capacity to treat the current residents let alone the ever growing population on the island and in district 50. The hospitals we have currently are for profit and their capacity is not enough to treat the people who already live here.

Attention and resources. We are often described as the forgotten borough. We need to gather attention and interest in Staten Island and district 50. Being part of the democratic majority can help persuade the council to listen to us better than the current republican member.
