Improving healthcare, Investing in our local schools, Enhancing Public Safety
There is nothing more important than access to healthcare. That is why I have been fighting to ensure that Queens gets its fair share of Health resources. As Chair of the Health Committee, I have passed landmark legislation on diabetes and women’s health and will continue to work on lowering costs and increase access to care in my next term.
Our kids only get one chance at a good education, and I have invested millions of dollars to ensure quality education in our schools with funds also dedicated to art, music and unique career opportunities. I will continue to invest in our schools in my next term.
The first responsibility of government is to make people feel safe. Public Safety is a complex issue that requires many levels of investment, including law enforcement, funding to combat hate, funding for increased mental health services and input from community partners. I have a record of accomplishment in these areas as a Member of the City Council which I will continue in my next term.

Creating a truly accessible healthcare system for all.
Working with community and government partners will help to accomplish this goal.
