City/Town of Residence City Council District 26 - Western Queens
Education St. John's University
Experience and Qualifications Budget Analyst
Community Involvement Sunnyside GOP President
Party Affiliation Republican
Key Endorsements Queens County GOP
1. Public Safety & Crime

Residents are worried about safety in our streets and public transportation, theft, drug use in public, and loitering.

Many feel basic quality-of-life enforcement has weakened — graffiti, noise, and sanitation issues often come up in community boards.

2. Cost of Living & Housing

District 26 has some of the fastest-rising rents in the city, especially in Long Island City and Astoria.

Families and longtime residents feel priced out, while small homeowners worry about property taxes and utility bills.

3. Homelessness & Migrant Shelters

Sunnyside and LIC residents in particular voice concerns about new shelter sites and the strain on neighborhood services.

Voters want compassion but also practical solutions that don’t overwhelm schools, hospitals, or public spaces.
1. Public Safety & Crime:

I will make a push for more police presence in subways and high-traffic areas. We will restore quality-of-life enforcement for issues like shoplifting, graffiti, and public drug use. I will implement initiatives for community policing, so officers build trust with residents. Invest in better lighting, sanitation, and clean streets in local neighborhoods.

2. Cost of Living & Housing:

I will fight against property tax hikes that squeeze homeowners and landlords who provide affordable rentals. Encourage responsible housing development that creates affordable options without overwhelming infrastructure. Cut wasteful spending at City Hall so taxpayer dollars go toward services that actually help families. I will push for utility cost relief and transparency from ConEd and MTA, which burden households.

3. Homelessness & Migrant Shelters:

I will demand fair share policies, so District 26 isn’t carrying a disproportionate burden of shelters. Expand access to mental health and addiction services for those who need help. Ensure migrants are processed efficiently, with work permits fast-tracked so they can support themselves rather than relying on taxpayer-funded hotels. And I will advocate for city–state–federal cooperation, instead of forcing local communities to handle it alone.
1. I will work with the NYPD to increase patrols on the 7 train line and at problem hotspots in Sunnyside, Woodside, Astoria, and LIC and launch a “Clean & Safe Streets” initiative: graffiti removal, better lighting, and stronger enforcement of quality-of-life issues.

2. I will audit wasteful City Hall spending to ensure money is going toward services that help families and small businesses. I plan to introduce legislation to freeze property tax hikes on homeowners and small landlords.

3. I will DEMAND fair share policies so District 26 isn’t forced to shoulder more than its share of shelters and advocate for immediate state and federal coordination to move migrants into work programs instead of hotel rooms.

We must confront corruption in City Hall. Too often, politicians serve special interests and lobbyists instead of the people they were elected to represent. I am committed to transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility. That means auditing wasteful programs, shining a light on backroom deals, and ensuring every tax dollar goes where it’s needed most — into improving the lives of the people of District 26. Working families are stretched thin, seniors are being priced out of the neighborhoods they’ve lived in for decades, and small businesses are drowning in taxes and fees. We need to lower the tax burden, cut unnecessary regulations, and support affordable housing solutions that actually work — not the broken, top-down programs that waste taxpayer money. When government spends smarter and keeps more money in your pocket, families and businesses thrive.
NYC government is dominated by long-established political networks and special interests. Lobbyists, unions, and developers wield enormous influence, making reform difficult without broad support. The city budget is massive and intentionally complex. Waste and corruption often hide behind layers of bureaucracy, making it hard to uncover where money is misused. Anti-corruption proposals may be blocked or buried in committees if leadership feels threatened. As a Republican in a heavily Democratic Council, I will face political pushback simply because of party lines. Bail reform, recidivism laws, and sentencing policies are made at the state level (Albany, not City Hall). Nevertheless, I will fight for the people who get up early, work hard, raise their kids, and just want a decent, safe place to live.
