Three primary concerns in Peekskill right now include, affordability, quality of life issues, and aging infrastructure. Rising rents and limited affordable housing are causing undue stress on families, seniors, and young residents. I’ll fight for responsible development, expanded housing options, better access to homeownership, and energy-efficiency programs to ease financial burdens. To improve quality of life, I support keeping our streets safe, stronger community policing, and better pedestrian safety, especially near schools and parks. I’ll advocate for cleaner neighborhoods, more youth and senior programs, and expanded access to mental health services. Finally, I support a phased plan to fix our aging roads, sidewalks, and water systems, using state, federal, and grant funding to protect taxpayers while preparing Peekskill for a sustainable future.

My top priority is building a stronger, more inclusive Peekskill where every resident can thrive. That means supporting affordable housing, protecting renters and homeowners, and ensuring new development benefits the community. It also means strengthening our local economy by filling vacant storefronts, supporting small businesses, and encouraging local entrepreneurship. At the same time, we must invest in our young people through arts, recreation, after-school programs, and career pathways—so they can grow, succeed, and stay rooted in Peekskill. By celebrating our diversity and keeping government accessible and responsive, we can build a city that reflects the best of who we are and the promise of what we can become.

The mounting debt and waste of tax dollars. Lack of safety, poorly maintained infrastructure, dirty streets, and lack of programs that benefit everyone. Poorly planned budgets, increased bonding, reliance on grants and consultants, lawsuits, and lack of transparency have resulted in financial instability. The city administration struggles to hire and retain qualified staff which diminishes services for everyone, especially for the youth, seniors, and vulnerable residents. Building more housing without proper planning runs the risks of damaging neighborhoods. This has put excessive strain on our school system and pushes generations of residents out, leading to empty storefronts and unstable businesses with little local job creation. When the city voted not to opt out of cannabis within its municipality it did not take into consideration that we would be the target for so many of these businesses entering into our very small community or what that affect would be in certain zones.
