I bring proven experience, a record of service, and a deep commitment to Spartanburg. Over the past seven years on City Council, I’ve worked to strengthen neighborhoods, support smart growth, and deliver quality city services. My professional and civic background has prepared me to make sound, balanced decisions that put people first.
Smart Growth & Economic Development – Ensuring new investment strengthens neighborhoods and benefits all residents.
Neighborhood Safety & Services – Expanding access to safe, connected streets and responsive city services.
Opportunity for All – Promoting initiatives that open doors for residents to thrive through education, jobs, and community partnerships.
City Council serves best when it is open, responsive, and focused. We can strengthen operations by improving city services, enhancing communication with residents, engaging neighborhoods, and keeping long-term planning rooted in priorities and grounded in fiscal responsibility. These steps build trust and ensure Council decisions reflect what matters most to residents.

Qualifications in Brief
Public Health Nurse, Community Educator, Local Board Member, Mother, Healthcare Expert, Community Advocate
I've been a public health and community outreach nurse in Spartanburg for 11 years. Through that position I've made contacts throughout the city and state with patients, administrators, non-profit and for-profit corporate leaders, and governmental stakeholders. I plan to continue to attend town hall meetings, sit on boards, and to be involved with communities regarding healthy living and access to healthcare. I am also a small business owner and parent raising my children in Spartanburg, our chosen home.
My passion is connecting people with each other and the resources that they may need but not know of. I can listen to, understand, and problem solve with residents from all walks of life, and will do all I can to be an advocate for all.
1. Intelligent & sustainable, well-planned growth (housing affordability, safe transit, preserving green space and parks)
2. Maintain a strong, vibrant cultural life in the city, including the integrity and character of our unique neighborhoods, which is critical to keeping Spartanburg a special place to live..
3. Sharing news - really connecting and communicating - with my district about what is happening in the City and the issues that impact our daily lives that are being discussed in City Council. I believe that for voices to be heard, everyone deserves to know what issues are brought forth and addressed in local government. Our government only works when all people have their say.
I have a passion for connecting people to resources. I feel people deserve to know more about what city leadership is discussing. Far too often citizens find out, far too late, what is being voted on or how/when/where they can attend a meeting to share their thoughts. Sometimes information is found on social media sites, but people are busy and cannot keep up with all of these things. Sometimes old-fashioned communications work best. A city newsletter, emailed or printed and mailed, would be an important change. The more knowledge people have, the more voices will be heard. I want everyone to have a voice so that we continue to grow as citizen-driven Spartanburg.
