Achievement Community Equity
I am running to continue serving on the Jamesburg Board of Education because we have made so much progress already and I am excited to build on that work. As a single mom and a homeowner, I believe that I bring a unique and important perspective to the Board. I understand both the need for excellent schools as well as the need for fiscal responsibility and have sought to apply that perspective during my time on the Board.
I have worked hard during my first two terms to learn all that I can, taking full advantage of the wide range of trainings and meetings offered to Board of Education members. I have achieved Certified Board Member status through the New Jersey School Boards Association and I continually seek to apply that learning diligently to our District. I also bring extensive training and experience in labor relations as well as in leading teams in a spirit of collaboration from my 25 years of work in the labor movement. I am currently in my second year serving as the Board President and have enjoyed the extra challenge of this role.
My priorities align with my running mates, Ana Paola Pazmiño and Neerav Modi.
My priorities are rooted in three powerful values: Achievement, Community, and Equity — the foundation for a strong, future-ready school district.
Achievement means giving every student the tools to thrive — not just in the classroom, but in life. That starts with strengthening literacy and STEM programs, ensuring our teachers have the training and resources they need, and investing in extracurriculars that help students grow as leaders, artists, athletes, and critical thinkers. I believe in setting the bar high — and giving students the support they need to reach it.
Community is the heartbeat of our schools. I’m committed to building stronger connections between the Board, families, and educators by working with the administration to use standardized communication tools that make information clear, consistent, and accessible to all. But more importantly, I want families to feel heard. That means listening with intention and ensuring parents have a seat at the table when decisions are made.
Equity is non-negotiable. Every child in Jamesburg — no matter their background, language, or learning needs — deserves fair access to opportunity. I will advocate for language access, safe and supportive learning environments, and programs that reflect the diversity and unique needs of all our students.
When we lead with Achievement, Community, and Equity, we don’t just improve our schools — we transform them. I’m ready to do that work, and I believe Jamesburg is too.
My views on our school budget align with my running mates, Ana Paola Pazmiño and Neerav Modi.
I believe that questions around our school budget should always begin and end with what is best for students and that we should seek the guidance of our Administrators and other experts in making these decisions. I hope to continue our record of fiscal responsibility in Jamesburg Schools, ensuring that we invest in the budget items that support student learning, achievement, and growth while also looking at ways to streamline and identify efficiencies where possible. Since we are a small district, we should explore all possibilities for shared services and pursue those which make sense for our students and our community. I am supportive of increased investment in extracurricular activities for students, including the arts, sports, and clubs.
My views on conflict resolution align with my running mates, Ana Paola Pazmiño and Neerav Modi.
When parents disagree, I believe the best way forward is to keep our focus where it belongs: on what’s best for students. Disagreements are natural in any engaged school community — and they can be healthy when handled with respect, transparency, and a shared commitment to student success.
I believe in creating space for open, honest dialogue where concerns can be addressed directly. Beyond simply listening, we must be willing to dig deeper — to understand the “why” behind the disagreement. In doing so, I would look to educational data, state guidelines, and academic standards as tools to ground our conversations in facts, not just opinions.
Many conflicts arise not from fundamental differences, but from gaps in communication. That’s why I support standardizing how information is shared with families — using consistent platforms and clear messaging — so all parents have equal access to what they need to understand decisions and policies.
Ultimately, my goal is to approach every disagreement with fairness, empathy, and a steady focus on what unites us: a desire to see our students thrive.
My views on the role of our schools when interacting with ICE align with my running mates, Ana Paola Pazmiño and Neerav Modi.
Schools must remain safe spaces for all children — without exception. As a district, we must uphold a zero-tolerance policy for any presence of ICE agents on or near school grounds. Immigration enforcement has no place in our educational environments.
Our role is to protect the rights, privacy, and well-being of every student, regardless of immigration status. That includes full compliance with state and federal laws that safeguard student information, and a firm refusal to share any personal data unless legally compelled to do so.
It is also our responsibility to ensure that all school staff are equipped with clear protocols and communication channels to respond appropriately and confidently to any inquiries or attempted enforcement actions. No staff member should be left uncertain, and no family should ever fear sending their child to school.
Above all, children should be able to focus on learning, growing, and thriving — not living in fear. As a school board, we have both the authority and the moral obligation to ensure that our schools are sanctuaries of safety, dignity, and trust for every student we serve.
My views regarding our academic program, vocational opportunities, and fine arts offerings align with my running mates, Ana Paola Pazmiño and Neerav Modi.
Jamesburg has long demonstrated its ability to do more with less — a testament to the dedication of our educators, administrators, and families. However, I believe we are at a point where we must move beyond maintaining and begin strategically expanding opportunities for our students.
In academics, continuing to strengthen literacy and STEM programs is essential. These areas form the foundation of student success and are critical to preparing our young people for the demands of high school, higher education, and the workforce.
In vocational education, we have a real opportunity to deepen our already existing partnerships with county programs and local industries. By doing so, we can create clear, accessible pathways into high-demand fields such as skilled trades, healthcare, and technology.
In the fine arts, maintaining — and where possible, expanding — programs in music, visual art, and performance is vital. These disciplines not only enrich student learning but also promote creativity, confidence, and a strong sense of community pride.
To support this growth, I advocate for conducting comprehensive needs assessments, aggressively pursuing available grant opportunities, and exploring shared services that can maximize our resources. Additionally, standardizing and modernizing our technology infrastructure will be key to implementing new initiatives effectively and equitably across the district.
Our students deserve access to a broad and meaningful education — one that equips them with both the skills and the confidence to thrive. With thoughtful planning and a commitment to innovation, I believe Jamesburg can rise to meet this challenge.

Achievement Community Equity
I am running because I believe every decision we make in Jamesburg schools should start and end with what is best for students. As a parent, I have stayed involved in school life through the PTA, classroom celebrations, and reading with students. These experiences keep me connected to the daily life of our schools and the needs of families.
Professionally, I bring over 20 years of experience in project management, consultation, information technology, and pharmaceutical industry regulatory compliance. That background has taught me how to evaluate complex systems, manage budgets responsibly, and find efficiencies without losing sight of what matters most. I also believe our district can benefit from more standardized use of behind-the-scenes technology to strengthen communication between parents and teachers and to improve financial and technical support.
My priorities align with my running mates, Anne Luck-Deak and Ana Paola Pazmiño.

Achievement.Community.Equity
I am running for the Jamesburg Board of Education because I believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and capable of achieving greatness. As a proud Latina, a mother, and a community leader, I want to be the voice for families who have too often been left out of the conversation. I am committed to ensuring that our schools provide every student with the resources, support, and encouragement they need to succeed, while building strong partnerships with families and the community. I will fight for equity so that no child is left behind, and every family feels included in shaping the future of our schools.
My experience as an educator gives me a unique perspective on how to make these goals a reality. I have seen firsthand the challenges students face and the strategies that truly help them succeed. I understand the importance of quality teaching, culturally responsive curriculum, and the resources that schools need to support every learner. This background equips me to advocate effectively for policies and programs that promote achievement, strengthen community connections, and ensure equity for all students. I am ready to bring this experience to the Board of Education to create practical, meaningful change for our schools and our children.
