FRSD Color Run, Greyhound Friends of New Jersey
I have two young children in the Flemington Raritan School District. In fact, my family and I specifically moved here for the schools. I am also the son of two educators and am married to an early education researcher. While the schools in our district are still very good, they are showing signs of distress, both educationally and financially, and I felt compelled to work with other members to offer support and research-based solutions. I hold an MBA with a specialization in Business Turnaround Management and have worked in data analytics, primarily healthcare, for about 15 years. I have extensive analytical, process improvement, and financial skills that will help to make sure our schools continue to be recognized for providing a high-quality education.
To guide the district in setting policy, budget, oversight, hiring, and curriculum, while representing the community and staying true to the district’s mission. I think listening to community members is critically important in the role.
Parents and guardians should always have a say in the education of the children in their care, but this should not necessarily override the guidance of trained professionals who best know age-appropriate material in a learning environment. Collaboration between parents and professionals is key. There are many research-based options in terms of books, curricula, and other materials, and I think using guidance from research and subject matter experts to make decisions is important.
1) Improve the quality of education through small class sizes, rebuilding trust with our teachers, and open discussions with the public 2) Improve and ensure the long-term financial stability of FRSD, and 3) Increase the availability of educational resources such as STEM, pre-k, Reading Recovery, gifted learning, and support services.
1) An experienced educator who listens to the concerns of both the teachers and the public, 2) someone who relies on research and best practices to provide curricular guidance, and 3) understands that every decision made should answer the question “how does this benefit students?”

Involvement in Community
I was a mentor through Catholic Charities for several years, then a volunteer guardian and officer of Volunteer Guardianship One on One in Flemington.
I am a long-time Raritan Township resident (30 years), parent of three kids who each passed through K-8 in the Flemington Raritan School District, and my wife teaches in the district, and I work as a Senior Client Partner at Mathematica in Princeton, where I help state and federal agencies develop Medicaid IT solutions. With extensive experience managing complex projects involving staffing, budgeting, and planning, I hope to bring these skills to FRSD to improve the quality and accessibility of education for all students.
The School Board is responsible for setting policy to manage the district and ensure the district is executing on its mission to: foster social, emotional, and academic growth; respect, honor and embrace diverse family and community values; strengthen opportunities that nurture creative and critical thinkers; and develop and inspire personal excellence.
Parents deserve a say into school programs, however, they do not automatically override the experience and recommendations of trained professionals who know how to select age-appropriate material, compliant with state standards.
1) Improve the quality of education - I want to maintain small class sizes and develop policies to hire and retain excellent teachers and support staff.
2) Improve access to educational resources - By preserving afterschool activities such as clubs and sports and promoting programs like G&T, STEM, and reading recovery so students, and ensuring instructional and support services are equitably offered across all schools.
3) Remove barriers to student progress - I want to ensure the district minimizes barriers to individual students' progress by ensuring students have access to tutoring, multilingual staff, counselors.
1) Listening to staff needs regarding workload, professional development, student progress and curriculum gaps
2) Implementing practices that are supported by evidenced based research
3) A forward looking perspective on how to integrate AI in school curriculum and district management.

Involvement in Community
I’ve consistently attended Board of Education, Raritan Township, and Hunterdon Central meetings to advocate for stronger community engagement. After speaking with local leaders about the state’s broken funding formula, I realized the best way to make a difference is by stepping up myself. As a father of two students and long-time township resident, I’m rooted here and committed to ensuring our schools serve both kids and taxpayers responsibly.
I’m running as a father of two FRSD students and a resident who understands the daily pressures of working families. I began my career as a truck driver and now manage accounts at Taylor Oil, where balancing budgets, operations, and customer needs is part of my job. I’m motivated by a desire to ensure transparent budgets, strong academics in reading, math, and science, and a school system where parents are treated as partners. My work experience and perspective as a parent prepare me to listen, ask practical questions, and put students first while respecting taxpayers.
Enforcing the rules set by the State Board of Education; making, amending, or repealing rules for district governance, school property, employee conduct and employment; and performing all acts necessary for lawful and proper upkeep, equipment, and maintenance of the district’s public schools. The Board’s role is therefore to set policy, provide oversight and ensure the schools meet legal, safety and operational standards. It is important to assess the laws made by the State and ensure the taxpayers with or without school aged children of FRSD are being represented.
Parents are essential partners in education. I believe they deserve transparency in curricula and a voice in decision-making while respecting professional educators’ expertise. On sensitive topics like health education or book selection, I support open communication, clear opt-out options, and a process that ensures materials are age-appropriate and aligned with state standards. Our district works best when parents feel informed and included, not sidelined, in shaping the learning environment for their children.
First, I will push for transparent, responsible budgets so families continue to have access & know where every dollar goes. Second, I’ll advocate for strong core academics in math, reading, and science to prepare students for long-term success. Third, I’ll work to rebuild trust between parents, staff, and the board through open communication and accountability. Achieving these priorities requires asking clear questions, engaging stakeholders directly, and ensuring decisions are based on both student needs and taxpayer realities. I would also like to quickly add the need for our district to able to live stream BOE meetings to help residents stay informed and not make them feel they must show up in person to have their voice heard.
I would look for transparency, a focus on academic excellence, and respect for community input. A superintendent must be open about challenges and decisions, driven by student outcomes in core subjects, and committed to engaging parents and staff as partners. The right leader should be both visionary and practical—able to set ambitious goals while managing resources responsibly. Above all, the superintendent must prioritize students while maintaining trust with the community.
