For the past 30 years I have worked professionally in non-profit leadership; a role that has demanded personal and fiscal accountability and transparency. As a entrepreneurial leader I thrive on challenges and love re-thinking, retooling and reimagining how to make the most out of the resources we have to use. My educational journey reflects my commitment communication, faith and leadership. My diverse life background—including experience as a firefighter, EMT, coach, and non profit board member—gives me a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Wherever I serve, I strive to bring energy, compassion, and a heart for people.
Taxes: Establish a stable budget that is not dependent on the continual over taxation of the residents. I will set the tone for this by moving to rescind the raises that the Supervisor and the Town Board gave themselves.
Infrastructure: I will fight for our PD, FD, RVAC, RCSD, Code Enforcement and the CSEA to help them have continual success in growing our infrastructure and ensuring that tax payers have readily available access to the vital services they provide.
Preservation and Development: Create a culture that is attractive to companies, who will create sustainable jobs, so current and future residents can afford to build their life here. I will do this while preserving our natural resources and the beauty that is Riverhead.
We must attract companies who will create sustainable jobs in Riverhead so current and future residents can afford to build their life here and not be forced to move away. We must also support the Northville Commons project and see it to fruition.
Own past mistakes so they can be corrected and not repeated. Continue to partner with the 4 other east end towns, county, state and federal government agencies to ensure we are not just doing the minimum but that we are setting the pace for future generations. Bring people to the table that are more knowledgeable and have more experience. Then listen and act on their guidance to ensure and healthy tomorrow for our residents.
