I am a dedicated public servant and seasoned professional with over 36 years of experience in engineering, sales management and leadership. Graduate of the University of. of Rhode Island with a BSME. Current member, City of Liberty Planning Commission Former member, Pickens County Planning Commission Volunteer Director' Big League Baseball World Series (2007-2016) I have a proven track record of working with local leaders and residents in shaping the community. My Planning Commission experience provides a strong foundation in infrastructure, long term growth strategies and zoning.
As a resident and longtime advocate for responsible processes, I have seen firsthand how the current Budgeting Process lacks transparency and limits the council input. I believe the process should begin earlier in the fiscal year, allowing council members more time to review, understand and contribute meaningfully. Liberty deserves a Budget Process that reflects the values and needs of its residents...Not one that is rushed or difficult to follow.
As Liberty grows, we must ensure that new housing development will contribute to the sustainability of our city. Not become a strain on them. We need to investigate policies that tie residential growth to responsible funding for infrastructure (sewer, water roads), public safety and recreation. New housing should be planned in coordination with city services, generate revenue through fair impact fees and taxes, and should include community input. Growth can be good when it is balanced, transparent and becomes a benefit.
First and foremost I would like to fix the budgeting process. Start earlier in the fiscal year to allow more council and public input. This would improve the transparency and collaboration.

The heart of Liberty is our downtown, the Core District. The public has spoken loud and clear: it's time to revitalize the core district by promoting small business, hosting local events and creating spaces that bring people together.
