I oppose Section 723. Parking, Storage or Use of Campers or Other Major Recreational Equipment. I am not affected by this and I do own a camper. Not everyone can afford storage of their camper and not everyone has a yard that meets these standards. This action taken is unfair to property owners in the town. Should there be rules on campers that meet certain criteria? If someone is living it in permanently/living in it while home is under construction or repair, if the camper is in a state of decay/wrecked, yes there needs to be policies put into place. If someone uses their camper for recreational purposes and storing their personal property on their personal property how can the town make a rule that you would only find in a HOA?
We burn the midnight oil until we find the best solution. Time and time again the easiest solution is to raise taxes. Citizens are taxed enough, the government has grants available for a lot of these items. When we exhaust all options then we look at raising taxes and lowering them once the goal is achieved.
I suggest we listen to the community and see if we can a find a way to solicit feedback from the community. Once we have collected this information we look for repeated concerns. We keep collecting data monthly so we are constantly engaging and listening, this was we have a better understanding on items we need to address.
