Garfield Heights has entered a phase where this administration has lost its way and I will bring back Transparency and Accountability to a struggling city that needs a working Mayor of the people who is one with the people. Exploding juvenile crime rates, and rise in overall crime has made it virtually impossible for our everyday citizens to enjoy a normal life. With my five step plan that was compromised up from speaking with residents over the last four years we will work together and bring change to our struggling community. A time for change is now and we can no longer sit back and watch our city just fall apart.
My biggest goal is to improve safety for residents and businesses, making sure we are enforcing the ordinances we have and ensuring that the people working for this community are being held to the highest standards possible with transparency and accountability at the top on the list. Our residents deserve better and we must provide and protect them from the threat that has been created over the last four years. Holding parents responsible for their juvenile’s behavior and that is part of my accountability process
Biggest challenge would be finances, our current administration is spending money faster than we could afford, with my accounting degree I would dive right into the financial situation of our city and put a stop to the wasteful spending. Then I would look into the crime rate problems we have, dealing with the juveniles in our city. Developing an open line of communication and mutual respect would be a key component towards gaining their trust. The juveniles need someone they respect and not someone they look at as a threat when you deal with them.
I’m open to anything that would save residents money, when saving taxpayers money this would give me an opportunity to find ways to bring back programs our community lost when we went into fiscal emergency.
