The Safe Act is the only way to protect everyone’s right to vote. Though there is an argument that only a small number of illegal votes happen, one’s to many as it cancels out a legal vote denying an individuals right to vote. We also need to insure the State protects our citizens by vetting nomination signatures.
Non and as should be, it has been voted on by the people of Arizona. Though I don’t agree with the outcome, I can accept because the majority voted.
Lowering taxes on small businesses and removing regulations is the best answer. These allow small businesses to grow and therefore increase the number of people they can employ and their wages. This in turn increases the tax revenue the government receives. A larger company allows that company to provide healthcare insurance.
First, increase border security by putting more officers on the border and drones. We must stop the flow of drugs and human trafficking at our border.
We must remove the millions that entered our country illegally under Biden’s Term. Laws were ignored and many fail to understand what truly happened at our southern border. It is illegal to cross our border at any point but a port of entry. This was ignored during Biden’s Term and none were prosecuted and simply given asylum. Putting these individuals in front of others who have been complying in a lawful manner is unfair.
We need to focus on giving those who meet the criteria for legal status Resident Alien status. This allows them the right to work and pay taxes. It doesn’t give them the right to vote or collect SS.
Water is an issue and many are upset about the plans to use reclaimed water as drinking water. I believe we have plenty of ground water for drinking and should consider using reclaimed water for farming and mining.
Ranchers face difficult struggles with the EPA such as closing off land when animals that have been relocated by nature turn up and become protected animals by the EPA. The animal should be captured and returned to its natural habitat or simply left alone. Ranchers should not have to spend their days in court fighting to simply be left to do their jobs.
Mining, is something that must be done but our resources are being taken and Arizona isn’t being properly compensated. China has always been very skilled at taking advantage of our ignorance to their mining practices. Even in the 80’s China was purchasing our Black Ore and getting enough gold from it to cover their cost and therefore getting the ore for free. Once discovered Magma start removing the gold.
Public Policy Priorities
Take the fight to Trump and Republicans in Congress and stop cuts to programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid - Bring down costs for working families and protect services like the ones that my family relied on such as food stamps, affordable housing programs like Section 8, and free school lunch. - Make health care more affordable and build a path toward Medicare for All.

I was a founding member of the El Rio Reproductive Health Access project and a peer sex educator in clinics in Tucson working alongside nurses from 2017 to 2018 and in the same years served on the Board of Directors for Planned Parenthood Arizona while navigating defund efforts by Republicans. While experiencing homelessness in high school, I got support from the local nonprofit Youth on Their Own. Since graduating, I have supported them by organizing annual fundraisers and returning to speak to youth and support on leadership committees in the organization.

Access to free and fair elections is fundamental to our democracy and political institutions - it is truly the only way we will get Donald Trump out of office under a Republican trifecta. I strongly support the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
But let’s not stop there. Our democracy should belong to the people, not the wealthy and corporate Super PACs. We need to take the steps needed to repeal Citizens United, and build a publicly funded election system that lifts up the voices of the voters. Unlike other candidates in this race, I wont take money from corporate Super PACs and if elected, I won’t hold individual stocks - and will fight to pass the bipartisan No Corruption in Government Act which would ban stock trading by members of Congress.
And the rot doesn’t stop with corporate cash, gerrymandering is silencing us. Over 70% of districts in Congress are so rigged they don’t even have competitive elections. That’s not choice, it’s manipulation. It’s time for bold, transformative reform
If elected, I would be the first woman of my generation, Gen Z, in Congress. For the last decade, I have demonstrated through advocacy and action the role the government should play in reproductive care. I got my start at 15 years old organizing my peers toward an update to our sex education curriculum that was last updated in the 1980s. After Trump was elected, I didn't back down. I stood up. I went toe to toe with Republicans right here in Arizona, confronting Jeff Flake in a now viral video, over his vote to defund Planned Parenthood centers and strip me and millions of others of essential birth control funding through Title X.
After the overturn of Roe V. Wade, we became the first generation of women to have less rights than our mothers. In Congress, I am committed to moving us beyond simply restoring Roe by repealing the Hyde Amendment, so no one is denied care because they are on Medicaid, and supporting the Women’s Health Protection Act to stop unnecessary and harmful restrict
As early as 16 years old, I have lived off of minimum wage - working nights at QuikTrip in Tucson to pay my bills. I know what it’s like to make hard choices in the grocery check out line and pull long nights just to make ends meet.
Economic justice is more than a talking point. We need to pass the Raise the Wage Act to raise the federal minimum wage to $17/hr and eliminate the tipped minimum wage, while empowering labor and implementing tax reforms that ensure the wealthy pay their fair share. We need to enact Medicare for All so no one goes broke getting the health care they need, and I’ll fight to protect Social Security, Medicare and Access (Arizona’s Medicaid).
Instead of giving tax breaks to millionaires, let’s close loopholes for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations so working families aren’t footing the bill. This country’s biggest strength is our working families. It’s time we work to build them up instead of those at the top.
First, hold ICE Accountable. We deserve a future where dignity isn't up for debate—where humanity matters more than borders. Born out of fear in 2003, ICE has grown into an institution that criminalizes survival and separates families. Its existence is not about safety. We don’t need an agency built to dehumanize undocumented communities. We knew a time before and will know a time after.
Second, pass the Embrace Act. This act makes sure all people, regardless of immigration status, can access the programs that keep us safe and thriving. When we center the most vulnerable, we all rise.
And finally, let’s create a real pathway to citizenship. Undocumented immigrants are not outsiders, they are our neighbors, our coworkers, our classmates, our family. In the borderlands we know this first hand. The American Dream and Promise Act gives the framework for a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, an important step we must take now. This is about building a country where everyone belongs.
Clean air, safe water, and a livable, toxin-free environment are not luxuries, they are rights. We need a transition to renewable energy and to build more affordable housing that prioritizes frontline communities, especially historically marginalized neighborhoods in the immediate crosshairs of climate change.
As the next generation, young people are those most affected by climate change and we intend to bring them to the table to lead on the issue. Federal policy must reflect the urgency our generation feels. We’re not asking, we’re demanding bold investments in clean energy infrastructure that moves us away quickly and permanently away from fossil fuels.
Finally, it’s time for the government to protect people, not profits. That starts with regulating and effectively punishing industries that poison our planet for a paycheck. We are committed to not accepting corporate PAC money and staying accountable to the people on the environment and beyond.

I will cosponsor the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and support legislation such as the Freedom to Vote Act that protects our democracy by protecting voting rights, ending partisan gerrymandering, improving campaign finance by curbing dark money in politics, and safeguarding our elections. I also support making Election Day a national holiday. As a Pima County Supervisor, I voted to make voting more accessible by establishing new vote centers where any voter registered in Pima County could cast their ballot, regardless of their home address. Previously, voters had to go to specifically assigned precincts, which often led to confusion.
Attacks on reproductive rights and access to abortion care disproportionately harm low-income, immigrant, communities of color, and of other vulnerable populations. The federal government should play a strong role in providing funds for Title X, the only domestic, federally-funded program dedicated to family planning. Outcomes of family planning services have demonstrated greater workforce participation, higher educational attainment, and lower health care cost overall.
I will forcefully stand for the right to make one’s own health care decisions, free from dangerous government interference. During my time on the Pima County Board of Supervisors, I led a resolution opposing Arizona’s 15-week abortion ban and supported our County Attorney in making sure reproductive healthcare providers did not face legal consequences from providing care to their patients.
When elected, I will fight back against the extreme measures the current administration is putting into place.
Lower housing prices by supporting construction of new affordable housing and providing grants to revitalize neighborhoods through housing repairs. I will also advocate to establish guaranteed housing assistance for the unhoused, including veterans.
Defend Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and the VA. I know the damage that happens when these critical programs are severely underfunded. I will work to ensure that every person gets the benefits they have earned.
Fully Fund Public Education - As a former school board member and mom of three, I know how important it is to ensure we have strong public schools that are the “great equalizer” between the wealthy and poor.
I will cosponsor the PRO Act to support access to a union.
I will also work to expand and enhance the Child Tax Credit and EITC.
I support comprehensive, humane immigration policies and will:
Fight for legislation that creates workable, legal pathways to citizenship for undocumented individuals, including Dreamers, veterans and TPS recipients; support legislation that expands access to humanitarian parole
Work to uphold due process and access to counsel, including for children; end all forms of family detention and eliminate for-profit immigration detention centers.
Put our community first by providing access to experienced constituent services to help immigrants and mixed-status families in Arizona navigate our needlessly complex immigration system
I’m the proud granddaughter of an immigrant who came to the U.S. to work as a bracero. I understand that our nation is better and stronger when we are inclusive. Immigrants are the fabric of our Southern Arizona community and an undeniable economic boon for the nation. It’s time to stop demonizing them and to start treating them with respect and dignity.
I will build upon my father, Congressman Grijalva’s, efforts to address environmental injustices by bringing in impacted communities and creating a process for inclusive policies. I plan to join the Natural Resources Committee and fight alongside communities impacted by pollution and ensure they have a continued voice in Congress on issues of environmental justice.
I will work to create a green jobs revolution that fuels growth in renewable industries; expanding multimodal transportation, green infrastructure, and public parks.
I will promote water conservation through climate resiliency projects while also addressing water contamination from PFAS and other toxic pollutants. I will also work to preserve environmentally sensitive, historic, and cultural sites for future generations and respect tribal sovereign lands, treaties and obligations.
Public Policy Priorities
Pass the 28th Amendment to enable Capitated Capitalism. Please go to capthecap.com to learn more and sign the petition. Additionally, I plan to introduce legislation for 1) seat (as opposed to individual) term limits, 2) tax credit for voting, 3) improve access to government healthcare without raising taxes or harming reimbursement to healthcare providers through MFN + private insurance clause when MFN invoked, and 4) anything else the District needs. My job is to go to DC and pass legislation to fund solutions for the issues facing CD7.
Qualifications and Experience
I have a breadth of professional and life experience. I was a high-school dropout who put myself through school and earned my MBA. My first job was Burger King, then I went into healthcare and worked my way up to the corner office on the top floor of a Fortune 7 company. I've been a President and CEO of a non-profit, managed more than $1B in revenue, turned P&Ls and companies around, filed 43 patents, and built a coalition to introduce legislation I drafted to curb the opioid epidemic. I've been a divorced, single father and the court gave me custody of my two kids. I adopted four kids from my second marriage and they took my surname. I've been homeless, previously claimed bankruptcy, and faced many hardships in pursuit of the American Dream. Each time, I come back stronger. I retired three years ago at the age of 44, and I'm now ready to bring my personal and professional experience to serve the people of District 7.

This is common sense. We want to make it easier to vote. The truth is when people stop voting we start heading down a slippery slope that can result in riots or revolutions. If we want to serve the people (which is the job), we need to hear from them. Not just during campaigning. When people vote, they are telling you what they agree with and what they oppose. It's better to hear from the people that you lost their vote than to find out they are upset another, less peaceful, way.
Honestly, I don't know what the opposition is to the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Is it a concern states and political subdivisions lack procedures to comply with the law? Why aren't they writing out SOPs/procedures to ensure compliance? Is it a lack of technology? That can't cost much these days. Why the opposition/lack of support?
In order to pass bipartisan legislation, we need to ask questions and resolve concerns across the isle. Voting is bipartisan. In short, I'll advocate by building consensus.
Ever hear of HIPAA, Senator? Seriously, this is healthcare, and that's private information already covered under HIPAA (1996). Senator, you're not licensed to practice medicine, and, even if you are, she's not your patient, so it's none of your business. Let's talk about voting rights instead.
Please visit my apolitical website, capthecap.com, and sign the petition. I'm limited to 1,000 characters here, and that's not enough room for me to address economics properly. Fortunately, my website offers a link to a custom AI/GPT that houses my unpublished manuscript, "Cap the Cap". It's public, interactive, and free to anyone with a ChatGPT account.
I encourage you to ask the AI about Capitated Capitalism (aka "Cap the Cap"), and sign the online petition so I can show Congress that the people demand we pass the 28th Amendment (already drafted).
Bonus - When we Cap the Cap, we can 1) create jobs, 2) lower taxes, 3) stabilize markets (aka retirement), 4) fully fund government (e.g. education/healthcare/etc), AND 5) it will put us on the path to pay off the National Debt!
We haven't paid off the National Debt in 190 years, but with the passage of the 28th Amendment we can pay it off, maybe as early as 2050!
I intend to build a Capitated Capitalism Bloc, so other nations can improve their economic conditions and lessen the impact of global migration. That will, naturally, lessen the burden of immigration into the US.
Other than that, I'm open to hearing other people's ideas, such as what's recently been proposed by Sen. Gallego. I don't (and I can't) individually solve for immigration, but I can create the economic framework to fund solutions others propose so we can hire more judges, immigration agents, etc.
We need to keep in mind, we're mostly country of immigrants. Talent comes to the US, and if we don't treat people humanely, it will hurt our country and our children long-term.
Again, I point back to Capitated Capitalism (capthecap.com). When we cap individual net wealth at $1 Billion, then the race for profit above that amount doesn't exist anymore because billionaires can't keep more than $1 Billion. What does that do?
Rather than pursue short-term, high ROI projects, which often hurt the environment, billionaires will seek to allocate their wealth another way. Funding environment/climate solutions is costly, and doesn't provide as much profit as extracting/harming the environment.
Remove the profit motive, and you remove the incentive to harm the environment. Further, forcing billionaires to circulate money back into society can fund long-term, high-impact, low/no ROI projects like climate solutions, healthcare, education, etc.

I am committed to cosponsoring, voting for, and holding rallies and events supporting the John Lewis Voting Rights Act to expand access to voting in our communities. Constituents in states across the country, blue or red, deserve to have their voting rights protected and ensure their vote is protected at the ballot box.
The Government should not have any influence on a woman's right to choose for reproductive healthcare. In Congress, I will cosponsor and vote for legislation codifying abortion rights, and contraception federally. Additionally, I intend to vote on legislation to increase federal funding to Planned Parenthood clinics that have seen millions of dollars in losses from the Trump Administration.
First and foremost, I support removing Trump's tariffs and economic policies that have driven up high inflation costs that are hurting working families. Secondly, I intend to support the PRO Act that raises the minimum wage to $15 an hour and strengthens protections for Americans to form unions at their place of work. Additionally, I support higher taxes on billionaires to provide more federal funding towards Social Security and medicare, both important safety nets for the the retirees in our community.
As the son of a Mexican immigrant who grew up in Southern Arizona, the immigration system is personal to me. First, we need to pass a pathway to citizenship for dreamers, children who of no choice of their own were brought to the US and are part of our communities. Secondly, we need to put more funding to federal immigration courts to increase the level of processing for federal immigration cases, many of whom have been waiting for decades for citizenship. And lastly, my third priority is it ensure this legislation passes in a bipartisan manner, similar to legislation Kamala Harris and Mark Kelly supported in 2024.
1) scaling up our carbonless energy infrastructure to cut down on carbon emissions, and also create good union jobs. 2) Restoring the EV tax credits passed by the Biden-Harris Administration 3) investing federal funding in tree forestation, and protecting federal lands

Defending the John Lewis Voting Rights Act
As a Member of Congress, defending the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (JLVRAA) comes down to three core points:
1. Restore What Was Lost
The JLVRAA is essential because the Supreme Court gutted the original 1965 Voting Rights Act (VRA), a law that dramatically expanded voting access for minorities. Decisions like Shelby County v. Holder and Brnovich v. DNC stripped away crucial protections. This bill isn't new; it's about restoring the VRA's power to combat discrimination, honoring John Lewis's fight for justice.
2. Modernize Protections for Today's Threats
This act isn't just looking backward; it's designed for today's challenges. It creates a modern preclearance system, targeting jurisdictions with a documented history of voter suppression and requiring federal review for certain common, discriminatory tactics like polling place closures or restrictive voter ID laws. It also strengthens Section 2, making it easier to challenge
As a Member of Congress, I believe the government has a vital role in ensuring everyone has access to full reproductive healthcare, no matter what. This isn't about pushing beliefs; it's about protecting fundamental rights and keeping people healthy.
My Stance: Your Choices, ProtectedThat's why I strongly support policies that ensure you have the access and freedom to make your own choices about contraception, abortion, and fertility treatments. Here's what that looks like:
Codifying Roe v. Wade: We need to make sure the right to abortion is a federal law, so where you live doesn't dictate your bodily autonomy.
Easy Access to Contraception: This means making sure all birth control is covered without extra costs and expanding access through places like local clinics and telehealth.
Support for Fertility Treatments: For those dreaming of a family, we should mandate insurance coverage for expensive treatments like IVF.
Funding Essential Services & Protecting Your Privacy is crucial.
---
As a Democratic Member of Congress, I believe government should ensure every family has a real shot at a secure economic future. It's about building prosperity from the ground up, guaranteeing fundamental rights like healthcare.
*My Priorities for American Families:
*Good Jobs & Fair Pay
I'll push for massive investments in **infrastructure and green energy**, creating stable, well-paying jobs. We need to **strengthen unions**, **raise the minimum wage**, and boost funding for **job training** so a full-time job always pays enough to live on.
*Healthcare for All
I fully support **Medicare for All** because healthcare is a human right. This means **universal coverage** for everyone, no more medical bills, and real savings for families by cutting administrative waste and lowering drug prices.
* Secure Retirement & Fair Taxes
We must protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare. I'll also fight against corporate price gouging to keep costs manageable.
1. Pathways to Citizenship for All
My absolute top priority is making sure every undocumented immigrant already here has a clear path to becoming a citizen. These are our neighbors, coworkers, and friends. They pay taxes and contribute to our communities. Let's give them the chance to fully participate, stabilize families, and boost our whole economy.
2. Humane Borders, Not Military Zones
We need to stop treating our borders like battlefields. Instead of pouring money into detention and deportation, we should focus on humane processing for asylum seekers. That means less enforcement, more resources for legal aid, and ensuring people seeking safety get fair treatment.
3. Modernizing Legal Immigration
Our current legal immigration system is a mess—too slow, too complicated. I want to reform and expand legal avenues so families aren't separated for decades and businesses can get the workers they need. Let's make it easier and more efficient for people to come here legally.
1. Go All-In on Clean Energy & Climate Resilience
My top priority is to rapidly shift to 100% clean, renewable energy. This means massive investments in solar, wind, and batteries to meet ambitious climate targets. We also need to boost climate resilience, helping communities prepare for extreme weather. It's about jobs, cleaner air, and protecting our future.
2. Environmental Justice: Clean Up & Prevent Pollution
It's wrong that low-income communities and communities of color face the most pollution. My second priority is to aggressively clean up polluted sites in these neighborhoods and strengthen rules to prevent new pollution. We'll hold corporate polluters accountable and ensure clean air and water for every family.
3. Protect Sacred Sites & Empower Indigenous Voices. My third priority is to pass strong laws to protect Indigenous sacred sites from destruction. This respects culture, religion, and human rights. We also need to empower Indigenous co-management of public lands,

As a tech inspector with Lucas Oil Off Road Racing, I ensured the safety of race vehicles for youth and adult racers, both regionally and nationally, protecting our racing community. I’ve volunteered in local youth programs, teaching vehicle design, and supported food drives to help families. I’ll donate $154,000 of my $174,000 congressional salary back to our district for schools and healthcare, a notarized pledge on jim4az.com. I hope this inspires others to give back, fostering a stronger AZ-07 together.
Education
My education comes from real-world experience, not a classroom. Starting young, I married at 17 and began working in construction, electronics, and design, learning through hands-on challenges. I mastered electrical systems for vehicles, managed projects to build schools and homes, and designed solutions for Border Patrol and U.S. Navy SEALs. This practical knowledge taught me resilience, innovation, and problem-solving—skills I’ll bring to Congress. I understand AZ-07’s needs because I’ve lived them, working alongside our communities. My experience ensures I’ll fight for jobs, security, and opportunity for all.
As a Republican who values fairness, I’ll advocate for the John Lewis Voting Rights Act by ensuring every AZ-07 citizen can vote without barriers. My experience as a business owner taught me to solve problems practically—I’ll push for transparent voting laws, support early voting and mail-in options, and ensure accurate vote counts through secure systems. I’ll work across the aisle to address community needs, not partisan agendas.
As a Republican, I believe the government’s role in reproductive healthcare should be limited, empowering individuals to make choices through private-sector solutions. For AZ-07, I’ll support policies that protect life while ensuring access to contraception and fertility treatments via tax-advantaged health savings accounts. I’ll advocate for state-led decisions on abortion, respecting Arizona’s current laws, and promote community resources like faith-based counseling to support families. My focus is on empowering families with options, not mandates, while reducing federal overreach in personal healthcare decisions
As a Republican, I’ll support AZ-07 families by promoting economic security through free-market policies. I’ll push to cut regulations on small businesses, creating stable jobs and fair wages. For affordable healthcare, I’ll expand health savings accounts, building on private-sector solutions. To ensure reliable retirement savings, I’ll back tax incentives for 401(k) contributions. I’ll advocate for lower, simpler taxes to keep more money in your pocket, while supporting fiscal discipline to reduce the national debt, ensuring long-term growth. My data-driven approach, honed in business, will balance family needs with economic stability.
As a Republican, my top 3 priorities for immigration legislation are: 1) Strengthening border security by adding 500 more Border Patrol agents and 100 immigration judges to process cases efficiently, ensuring AZ-07’s safety. 2) Protecting local jobs by enforcing E-Verify nationwide, so businesses hire legally, supporting our workers. 3) Streamlining legal immigration to meet economic needs, like agriculture in Yuma, while reducing strain on community resources. These priorities, rooted in my data-driven business experience, balance security and practicality for our district.
As a Republican, my top 3 environmental priorities for AZ-07 are: 1) Ensuring water security for our farmers by supporting state-led infrastructure projects, like upgrading irrigation systems, to sustain agriculture without federal overreach. 2) Promoting clean energy innovation through tax incentives for businesses developing solar and wind technologies, balancing economic growth with sustainability. 3) Protecting air quality by encouraging local industries to adopt cleaner practices with grants, not mandates, preserving jobs while improving health. My business experience drives practical solutions for our district’s future.
