Town where you live Sedro-Woolley
Experience (300 characters max) Current Ward 6 Council Member. Automotive Shop Foreman at Rallye Auto Sales in Burlington for the last 9 years. Helping Hands Food Bank Board Chair. Former President and active member of the Sedro-Woolley Lions Club.
I enjoy knocking on doors during my campaign to speak directly with residents about the issues that affect them and talk to them about how the city can make a positive difference in their lives. I also strive to have meaningful dialogue with residents whenever possible, whether through local organizations or by staying accessible through my council contact information.
I have pushed back on the proposed BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) facility that they are attempting to build on the outskirts of town. During the re-licensing process for the two Seattle City Light dams, I continually advocated for the installation of fish passageways to help ensure we never lose salmon in the Skagit River. Making sure we have a clean, healthy, and thriving community to pass on to the next generation is very important to me.
Current Council Member for Ward 6; Board Chair of Helping Hands Food Bank; former President and active member of the Sedro-Woolley Lions Club. I help organize and run the Loggerodeo Grand Parade and served as Parade Foreman this year. I also helped bring back the Log Drive, a charitable fundraiser supporting childhood cancer treatment. On Council, I have pushed back on state mandates that would have required even more apartments to be built in areas that don’t fit our community’s vision. I’ve helped manage city funds responsibly, building up a 30% cash reserve to keep us strong and prepared for the future. I’m proud to have helped revitalize Memorial Park with new shelters, a splash pad for kids, and updated bathrooms, and I broke ground on Olmsted Park, which will add more walking trails and an ADA fishing dock for everyone to enjoy. I supported the K-9 program for our police department, strongly back our first responders, and I’m honored to be endorsed former Police Chief Lin Tucker
We should continue to work closely with organizations like Helping Hands Food Bank, Family Promise, and the YMCA to help prevent homelessness in our community. It’s important that we spend the funds allocated for homeless housing and prevention wisely, so we can help as many people as possible with the limited resources we have.

Part of this funding comes from House Bill 1590, which allows cities and counties in Washington State to collect an additional 1/10th of 1% sales tax to support affordable housing and services for those at risk of or experiencing homelessness. These ‘1590 funds’ are a critical tool, and it’s our responsibility to make sure they are used effectively and responsibly for real, local impact.
My vision for our city is one where responsible growth meets strong community values, a place that preserves our natural beauty while providing opportunities and support for every resident. I believe in careful stewardship of our resources to ensure financial stability, vibrant parks and public spaces, and public safety. A community where families can grow, seniors can age with dignity, and we all have a place to call our home.
