Town where you live Woodinville
Experience (300 characters max) I currently serve on the City of Woodinville Planning Commission to help shape the strategic plan in Woodinville through 2044. Woodinville Chamber Member for 15+ years, board of directors for 6 years & board chair for 2 years. Also, serving our community on the Woodinville Arts Alliance Board
Collaboration. I have always been out and about in our community. At city, chamber, and other local events. I believe that input for the community is how we best serve the people who live in our community. Collaborate and listen.
We should do everything we can to support environmental conservation. I believe in stewardship, as well as common sense. So, instituting rules for rule's sake is not what I will want to champion. I believe we can exist and possibly improve our environment, staying flexible and able to navigate the regulations with smart implementation.
I currently serve on the City of Woodinville Planning Commission. I have been a part of the Woodinville Chamber for 15+ years, serving on the Woodinville Chamber Board of directors for 6 years and as the Board Chair for 2 of those. I also currently serve on the Woodinville Arts Alliance Board. As a small business owner, I host a community podcast (tend life community, TLC podcast) where we highlight other businesses and community leaders. We have 3 seasons of local episodes
Provide services and continue to partner with local resources like non-profits to make sure we have those resources available when we run into these situations. Beyond that, helping to create affordable housing is important to me. Creating a housing supply is the easiest way to create affordability, next is a subsidised plan, and beyond that will be a public-private non-profit solution to create housing certainty.
Smart development keeping Woodinville inviting. Progress is inevitable, and shaping the future of Woodinville is important. With the loss of the Molbaks' plan, we will need to be very intentional to make sure Woodinville represents what our community wants. As a Council member, I will champion policies that strengthen our local economy while preserving Woodinville’s unique character.
