Experience (300 characters max) Candidate for US House of Representatives (2022) - Elected Board Member of The Cascade Party of Washington
My plan for interacting with Seattle's citizens, besides just being as direct as possible, is centered around open active engagement and accessibility. I will host town halls and community meetings, maintain a digital presence, work closely with local organizations, encourage citizen participation in decision-making, and be responsive to constituent inquiries. By fostering a collaborative relationship with the people of Seattle, I aim to build trust, transparency, and a shared sense of purpose. I am also am open to using technology to find creative ways to communicate with the public.
A city's role in dealing with environmental issues should be proactive, engaging, and adaptive. This includes implementing sustainable initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders on evidence-based strategies, staying informed about evolving challenges, and educating citizens on their role in environmental stewardship. A city can lead the way in protecting the environment for current and future generations.
My most significant feat was the assistance in the planning of and execution of a successful independent operation to rescue a domestic abuse victim, resulting in her clean escape from a hostile domicile.
I support investing in affordable housing and supporting programs that provide wraparound services, such as mental health care, addiction treatment, and job training. I also support homelessness prevention methods like eviction prevention programs and tenant protection laws.
I want a Seattle that is safe and affordable. In addition, I want the city as clean as possible, as fun as possible, and with the best public transportation possible!
