School Board Members are the elected governing body of the school district, with responsibilities that fall in four major areas: Vision – focuses the work on student achievement through a comprehensive strategic planning process; Structure – provides prudent financial planning and oversight; diligent and innovative policymaking; Accountability – sets specific goals and a process for evaluation, reporting and recommendations for improvements; and Advocacy – champions public education in the local community and before state and federal policy makers. The School Board sets the general policies of the district.

Spokane County Solid Waste Advisory Committee 2001-2002 City of Kennewick Precinct Capt GOP Campaign supporter several campaigns
I've been a political candidate for City Council in Richland several times. Other than that, I'm in constant contacts with one of the Port of Benton offices, constantly. I maintain a constant presence with the City of Kennewick staff in trying to update areas that may need to be looked at. Mostly with Columbia Park or Cilumbia River levee maintenance
Maintaining updates on supporting requested budgeting. Maintaining current curriculum as required by the state legislature. This includes formative and summative evaluations of testing. This can include test currency or appropriateness. Maintaining safe public interactions with school staffs or school age public or parents.
I want to know if follow through is being accomplished on the Wiley Elementary School shooting or what may have happened at Highland Middle School.
Appropriate police response and investigative work to incidences. Public response needs to be updated.
Appropriate numbers of staff for student needs. If students need to have academic areas or incident investigation done, please do so. The US Supreme Court recently weighed on support of a special needs student. How is this accomplished in District 17?
