Affordable housing for all: Every New Yorker deserves an affordable, safe, and dignified home. With my progressive colleagues, I secured over $2 billion to fund affordable housing construction, repair apartments, and expand homeownership. As former chair of the public housing committee, I secured funding for NYCHA repairs and passed legislation holding NYCHA responsible for their management.

Clean and safe communities: The safest communities are the ones with the most resources, not the most police. I'm fighting for investments in mental health care to reduce wait lists for vital care. I'm also pushing for better street lighting, improved sanitation services, and safer street design for our district.

Protecting our communities from Trump's agenda: As chair of the immigration committee, I'm fighting to protect our city's sanctuary city laws, keep ICE out of our classrooms, and invest in adult education and language access programs that connect all New Yorkers to education and jobs.
Affordable housing for all: In my next term, I will fight to strengthening protections for tenants, support a rent freeze for rent-stabilized tenants, and advocate for truly affordable housing. I will also continue to fight for funding for NYCHA, including much-needed repairs to ensure all public housing residents can live in dignified housing.

Clean and safe communities: I will fight for investments in the mental health workforce and increase funding to hire more peer specialists in our mental health system. I will also push for enforcement of common-sense police accountability legislation, and improving street design to keep our streets safe for families and older adults.

Protecting our communities from Trump's agenda: I will push to strengthen and protect our city's sanctuary status laws. I will also protect our schools from Trump and Musk's attacks on public education by pushing for full investments in our public schools and protecting students from harmful policies.
My top three priorities are securing investments in affordable housing, protecting our communities from ICE, and protecting our schools from Trump's overreach.
I want to see full funding of our public education system from early childhood to CUNY. Under Mayor Adams, I fought against his reckless budget cuts to schools. I will continue to stand up for our educators and students, demand full funding for our schools, and protect our students from Trump's attempts to erode their rights.
For too long, our city and state budgets have prioritized the wealthy, rather than working families. We must fight the billionaire agenda by advocating for taxes on the rich at the state level, and pushing for a city budget that invests in the working class.
