Work with my fellow NYC council members and the new mayoral administration to prioritize on how to best address these major concerns in the district.
Working to connect with fellow Council members to build coalitions and cohesion amongst members to partner on passing legislation important and vital to the 21st District.
We have a very dense district that continues to grow every day. My goal is to build not only many deeply affordable housing units but also build schools to address extreme need for more seats to decrease class sizes in our overcrowded schools.
Because of the lack of space in the district the biggest impediment creativity in finding the right location to build deeply affordable housing units while also finding ways to construct new schools. Funding and space can be major impediments. However, I plan to build coalitions in city government to make these things possible.
