Transparency builds trust. And trust brings investment, collaboration, and results. My administration would treat Detroiters not as bystanders but as shareholders in their own city—with full access to the information they need to hold us accountable.
1. Put more money in Detroiters’ pockets 2. Fix public safety and community infrastructure 3. Build homes and raise the floor for families
I bring the kind of real-world, results-driven leadership Detroit needs right now—not just talk, but a track record of building, solving, and delivering for people. I’ve helped grow dozens of Detroit-based businesses through strategic investment and mentorship. In 2017, I passed legislation in Lansing without lobbyists and without political backing—because I knew Detroiters needed action, not excuses.I’m not another politician waiting to play it safe. I’ve run organizations, managed real budgets, negotiated across public and private sectors, and delivered results where others didn’t even show up.

As Mayor, I will launch a citywide transparency initiative rooted in accountability, accessibility, and equity. I will create an Office of Neighborhood Advocacy to give every district a direct line to City Hall. I’ll upgrade the city website to ensure residents can easily access budgets, contracts, and performance dashboards. Public meetings will be streamed and archived, and I’ll require regular progress reports from every department. We’ll also establish mobile city service units in recreation centers and expand digital access to ensure all Detroiters, regardless of age or internet access, can stay informed, get help, and hold leadership accountable.
My top priorities are: 1. Public Safety with Community Trust – Invest in mental health response, community policing, and safe streets with neighborhood input.

2. Economic Growth & Job Creation – Expand access to clean energy, tech, and skilled trade jobs while supporting Detroiters through local hiring and training.

3. Small Business Revival – Launch mentorship programs, expand microloans, and build a one-stop support office to help startups thrive, and champion Detroit as a destination for major events and neighborhood tourism to boost revenue and visibility.

I’ll implement goals through agency collab, partnerships, and community input. To boost safety and economic growth, I’ll champion Detroit tourism drawing visitors to neighborhoods.
I bring nearly three decades as an attorney and CEO of one of Detroit’s largest Black-owned law firms. I’ve led teams, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and negotiated complex contracts across public and private sectors. I started my career working under Mayor Coleman A. Young, giving me firsthand insight into how city government works. I’ve represented Detroiters from all walks of life, in courtrooms and communities, and I understand both the legal and operational challenges ahead. I bring the discipline of a legal mind, the strategy of a CEO, and the heart of a lifelong Detroiter committed to inclusive leadership.
