What in your background qualifies you to serve as a member of the Fair Oaks Ranch City Council?
What are the most pressing issues facing the Fair Oaks Ranch City Council?
What are the citizens in Fair Oaks Ranch telling you about city issues?
After winning a Special Election to fill an unexpired term for Place 3 with over 85% of the vote, I have been serving on Council since December 2023. I’m also on the Branding Committee, Wildlife Education Committee, and a Director on the City’s MDD Board. This has provided me with full context for the issues facing this City, both in the present and future. Additionally, I am a business owner and have been a civil litigation attorney for over 19 years. This allows me to serve using my trained analytical skills as well as common sense and fiscal responsibility.
One of the most pressing issues is responsibly managing growth in our City and all that comes with it. Inevitable growth in and around our City can lead to challenges with our infrastructure (roads, water, and sewer), traffic, and public safety. That growth could also have an effect on the quiet, semi-rural feel of the City, which is one
of the main reasons many of us moved here. We must maintain the City’s character while also continuing to deliver essential services and keeping the City a safe place to live.
Two consistent concerns I hear from citizens involve over development and traffic. We can help minimize these concerns with a strict adherence to the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Unified Development Code. We also just formed a citizen Transportation Safety Advisory Committee which should help us quickly address transportation and/or traffic issues as they arise and/or are observed by the citizens.
