I feel what qualifies me to serve on the Blanco City Council is my genuine care and concern for this community. I have lived here for more than twenty-five years. I have seen the changes the city has gone thru in those years, and the challenges that go with them. I was born and raised in Ft. Collins, Colorado. I witnessed the
path and cost of that city while growing and improving. I intend to offer the people of this city an avenue to be heard. My patience and knowledge will be an asset for this city.
I believe the most pressing issues facing the Blanco City Council is progress. The current City Council has had to tackle many issues that affect the heart of our community. It’s no secret that Blanco has been behind the times for a long time. That is what most of us love about Blanco so much. The world has changed around us,
and now Blanco is trying to catch up. My knowledge in construction can help guide this city wisely over those hurdles.
The list of concerns from fellow citizens is quite long. Most who have lived here for more than ten years want the town to stop changing. We don’t want to lose the small quiet town that we love. We do want clean safe drinking water. We want reliable sewer service to all city residents. We want better roads with curb
and gutter. Underground utilities. We want the safest city possible. We want our Police, Fire Department, EMS, and City Employees to be properly funded and happy to serve this community. Don’t dare raise taxes.

I am a City of Blanco resident, former Blanco City Council member and Mayor Pro Tem. I’m an independent voice for City of Blanco citizens beholden to no special interests.
Crumbling water-wastewater pipes and streets leaves us vulnerable. It is time to reinvest in our infrastructure, families, and neighbors. I am happy citizens have been presented with a way forward and the opportunity to vote on it in the upcoming bond election.
“Fix our streets, fix our pipes, secure our water!”
In the face of growth from all directions: “Protect our small town rural culture and quality of life.”
I am Resident of Blanco and a member of this community. My job has been in the entertainment industry, including producing large events. This has taught me a specific set of skills as this is a very high stress, high stakes environment. The ability to hear others points of view without taking them personally, looking at the big
picture, and drilling down to the minutia when needed. I am very involved in coaching different sports in our town and love serving this population. My wife and I are here for the long haul and only want the best for Blanco.
I feel the most pressing issues for the city council are water, budget, and the comprehensive master plan. We, as a council, need to ensure a safe reliable water supply for the citizens. The council also has to be good shepherds of the towns fiduciary resources, making the best use of those funds without raising taxes. Lastly, the comprehensive master plan must be in place before the inevitable growth occurs so we can do our best to keep
Blanco the town we love.
What I hear most from the citizenry of our town are concerns about the council being able to work together for the benefit of the people. I believe this is the foremost concern for individuals who are willing to serve in this capacity. I also hear concern about the growth of Blanco, and the 281 expansion project. These issues are the biggest reasons why the council must work together and united. If we are divided we will not have the impact we should keeping our town the amazing place we choose to live.
