experience
Former State Delegate, HD-89 (Norfolk)
Every child in Virginia deserves a world-class education—no matter their zip code. It’s clear that we’re underfunding our public schools and placing unfair burdens on localities. We need a modern funding formula that meets today’s needs—fully funding special education, expanding school-based mental health services, and paying teachers what they deserve. As Attorney General, I’ll also defend our public schools from political attacks and efforts by the Trump administration and its allies to defund or dismantle them. Our children’s future is not up for debate.
My top priority is restoring the Attorney General’s office to what it should be—a watchdog for the people, not a weapon for political games. Jason Miyares has spent his time chasing headlines and pushing an extreme agenda instead of protecting Virginians. I’ll take on price gouging, housing discrimination, and corporate abuse, while defending reproductive freedom and civil rights. The job is to serve the people of Virginia—not billionaire donors, not partisan allies, and not Donald Trump. As Attorney General, I’ll put people first. Always.
One of the biggest threats to voting in Virginia is Jason Miyares himself. He has used our tax dollars to defend efforts to purge eligible voters from the rolls, spread disinformation, and make it harder for Virginians to vote. We should be making it easier—not scarier—for eligible voters to cast a ballot. I’ll fight to protect early voting, expand voter education, and push back against every attempt to intimidate or suppress eligible voters. Democracy only works if we all have a voice—and I’ll always defend that right.
