It's important to me that all residents of Bellevue know they are safe, welcome, and wanted in our borough.

To that end, I want to focus on increasing resident participation in local government, boosting awareness of community events to support strengthening local ties, and reinforce what's already working well in the borough. Throughout everything, I want to prioritize listening to borough residents.

There are incredible existing organizations doing phenomenal work in Bellevue, and a hardworking council who all care deeply about creating a thriving borough.

By supporting what's working and continuing to build community - both online and in-person, I believe we can continue energizing a Bellevue that welcomes & supports everyone.
I've spent a fair bit of my career in fields where finding common ground was vital to moving anything forward.

Building consensus means not taking things personally, and reminding yourself that you wouldn't be having these conversations if you didn't have more in common than not. It means listening and expending effort to understand the context and motivation behind someone's opinion or priority.

You have to put in the time to find that common ground and build trust. It's always worth the effort in the end.
