The most pressing issue in our borough is the overall refurbishment of our waterworks and the total replacement of our pumphouse infrastructure at one of our two wells due to aging equipment and to improve our contaminant remediation system, mainly for naturally occuring arsenic. Our water is safe and consistently meets or exceeds DEP requirements and we're making sure we keep it that way. Continuing drought conditions do make the job a little more challenging, but I'm glad to say we're on top of it.
We're well on our way to completing that particular project. It's been a major financial and logistical undertaking for a borough our size, but it has been going well with virtually no impact to supply or customer service.
We'll be totally renovating the infrastructure at our other wellhouse in the coming years which will address new, far stricter DEP mandates on 'forever chemicals' to go into effect in 2029. We meet or beat requirements now and will continue to do so.
I really enjoy the opportunity to serve my community as a member of Trumbauersville Borough Council, a position I've had the privilege of holding since 2008. As a member of a seven member board, none more important than any other, we work as a team to tackle the everyday concerns a community like ours has, but also to help to enrich the community with projects and events involving and interacting with our friends and neighbor that make up our small town. Why am I running? I love doing it and helping to make a difference in our community.
I have been an active member of Borough Council since 2008, spending a decade or so as Vice President and now President. There is a lot that goes into running a municipal government, even for a small borough of under 1000 residents. I, along with other members of the team, are always looking for ways to build our knowledge to stay on top of new legislation and mandates, improved methods and technology and other ways to improve upon what is already a great community. This includes a a lot of education via seminars, hands-on training, and networking and collaborating with not only our other boroughs here in Bucks County, but boroughs across Pennsylvania. (Our neighboring townships of Milford and Richland are great resources, too!) I'm a Certified Borough Official (CBO)... who knew that was a thing? Keep learning, stay involved, and make good decisions.
The desire to do something is so much more valuable than ability alone. I am pleased to offer both to my neighbors in T'ville.

1. The lack of transparency - When elected, I will work with the council to livestream and record all meetings so that residents who cannot make it in person can stay up to date. I will also work to start an email and mailing process to send interested residents copies of meeting agendas and when approved, minutes.
2. Safety - Our roads are still dangerous. I will lobby Penndot to increase traffic controls such as pedestrian crossings and speed tables. Our residents deserve to feelmsave when walking on sidewalks.
3. Proactive maintenance and replacement of our infrastructure - I will work to proactively schedule maintenance and replacement activities to minimize any disruption to our community. There is a saying, either you schedule maintenance or it will schedule itself when the item fails.
My biggest concern is the lack of communication with the residents. People are busy and don't always have the time to spare to go to meetings, where more often than not, their opinion is not taken seriously.
I am doing this for my daughter, my neighbors, my community, and everyone living here.
I have vast experience in handling budgets, employees, and difficult decisions. I like to believe I have true leadership skills that combine with listening to others and working as a team for our goals.
I will not make decisions that are only good forces today, rather good decisions for the long term prosperity of our community.
I know how to listen. I know how to lead. I know how to work with others. I know the residents are most important and it would be an honor to represent their wishes as a council member. I care about you.
