Professionally, I’m a senior management consultant specializing in leading complex technology initiatives and digital transformations. I bring over 30 years of leadership in managing geographically diverse teams, overseeing large-scale budgets, and multi-year planning efforts.
My name is Ed Mayer, and I am proudly running for Northampton Township Supervisor in 2025. I’m excited to run for three reasons: (1) I will be tireless in serving our local community, (2) I will be laser focused on fiscal responsibility, and (3) I will bring a fresh perspective to the Board of Supervisors.
Public service is about people. It’s about listening, collaborating, and building something better — together. I’m running for Northampton Township Supervisor to bring fiscal transparency and meaningful results for all residents of Northampton. Always with a laser focus on fiscal responsibility.
Our campaign will include an infusion of new ideas (e.g., putting tax dollars to work for the people; creating non-tax revenue streams; sponsoring semi-annual neighborhood clean-ups; making community satisfaction surveys actionable; accelerating road improvements; and improving pedestrian safety) to name a few.

I think is was Adam Grant who, in his book "Give and Take," concluded that people, for the most part, are either givers or takers. I am a lifelong giver. I started my career serving in the Naval Intelligence community for 5 years (3 years aboard the U.S.S. Mount Whitney, LCC-20).
I have been servant-leading teams from 5 to 150 people for more than 30 years. I have professionally mentored dozens of colleagues (and still do!). Along with my wife, we have raised two young men who are now not only successful in their own careers, but also as productive, contributing members of society.
I have volunteered as a coach, in scouting, as a lay lector, even as a midnight shift townwatch back in the day (Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia).
I instinctively want to serve others in a way that could have a positive impact on people's lives. I have experience. I have desire. I have energy. I have temperament. I have commitment. I have sticktoittiveness. I am built to serve Northampton Twp.
My wife and I have called Churchville home since 2001, when she found the perfect place for us to raise our family. Our two sons attended Maureen M. Welch, Richboro Middle, and Council Rock South. If you’ve seen someone walking a French Bulldog named Bella around the neighborhood or at Northampton Township Municipal Park, that’s probably me — enjoying one of the many treasures our township offers.
