Education BS Chemistry, MBA, Purdue University
Experience Current member of Borough Council. Retired business executive with experience in improving operations, financial performance, and business processes, and planning for the future.
Chalfont Borough, just as every household within our community, must contend with high inflation and extreme economic uncertainty. We are very far from “business as usual” conditions that the Borough is more accustomed to working within. Our response as a management team - members of council along with our borough manager and finance director – will require careful thought and effective setting of priorities on a longer than usual timeline. I will bring my years of experience in finance and operations management to the table and have confidence that our seasoned team will deliver the best possible outcome for the community in this difficult time.
The short answer is that there is important work to be done and I’m confident I can help. I’m now in the second year of a two year term on Borough Council and it has been an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I’ve come to appreciate that our mission is to keep Chalfont physically and financially healthy, quiet and safe, and the kind of place that people want to live in. I would be honored to continue to support that mission in a new four year term And, as I had hoped prior to being elected, I’m finding my professional work experiences are serving me well in understanding the work we do and its importance to securing the long term viability of the community. My service on the Finance Committee is a very good fit for me and I look forward to continuing to serve in that role.
I spent my work life in the business world and have many years of experience in managing operational and financial performance, building and dismantling business entities, pursuing growth opportunities, and planning for the future. I’ve been successful in helping guide organizations and teams to achieve their goals in good times and hard times. Success in any endeavor requires regular evaluation of progress, course corrections when necessary, and effective and frequent communications with all stakeholders. I think these experiences and knowledge serves me well in working with my fellow council members and borough staff to deliver the best possible outcomes for our community.
Education B.S. Materials Engineering. M.S. Materials Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institure
Experience Thirty six years at Fischer & Porter Co. (Now known as ABB,Inc.) in Research and Development, Production Supervisor, Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor. Last positions were Safety, Health and Environmental Manager and responsibility for an EPA superfund site.
Chalfont must maintain infrastructure and public safety in an economically responsible way remembering that the major funding comes from taxes on our citizens as Chalfont is mostly residential with a small industry and business base. Chalfont budgets conservatively always remembering that it must be fiscally responsible.

Traffic through the town center is a major issue for all who live and traverse the Borough. I believe the Bristol Road Extension will help alleviate congestion through the Main St (Route 152) and Butler Avenue (Business Route 202) corridor. This may help create new commercial enterprises in Chalfont.

Legal requirements such as storm water management are a large part of the budget and the Borough Council plans for this in the long term capital plan to meet all requirements as well as minimizing the financial impact on Chalfont’s taxpayers.

I believe public service is a responsibility for all citizens and want to participate as much as possible. Local government serves the community and is generally nonpartisan. Being a member of Chalfont Borough Council gives me a way to participate in public service where the only result should be what is best for the citizens of the Borough.
My engineering background brings me a good basis for problem solving using fact based constraints. My experience as a production supervisor helps me manage personnel matters in a fair way and my Safety, Health and Environmental management experience provides a strong basis for many of the requirements and challenges of being part of local government.
Education BSBA - Marketing/Bryant University
Experience Human Resources Executive, Bartender & Server, Borough Judge of Elections, Member Borough Planning Commission, Member of Borough Zoning Variance Committee,
I believe the most pressing day-to-day issues facing the Borough are promoting smart growth, enhancing mobility, and preserving our natural resources & environment. The Comprehensive Plan, released in 2024, addresses the guiding principles and provides the blueprint for meeting the current and future needs of the community, and I will work to ensure that Borough decisions reflect these principles. Improving traffic flow is essential. Keeping the Bristol Road Extension project alive and partnering with our Harrisburg representatives is a priority.

Preserving our resources and open space are vital initiatives. Encouraging the use and expansion of our Parks and Trail system is on the top of my interests. I'd love to explore and implement community gardens and community composting programs to engage residents in conservation, growing food to feed their families and those in need. Partner with developers to use native and noninvasive plants in their development proposals is a goal.

I’m running for Chalfont Borough Council because I believe in practical, community-focused leadership. For years, I’ve been working behind the scenes to help make Chalfont a great place to live, whether as the Judge of Elections and poll worker, a member of the Zoning Hearing Board, and Planning Commission. I’ve seen firsthand how local decisions shape our borough, and I want to ensure we continue growing responsibly, transparently, and with all Borough residents in mind.

My approach isn’t about party politics or pushing agendas. It’s about common sense & collaboration. When I served on both Zoning & Planning, I listened, weighed the facts, and made decisions that kept Chalfont’s character intact while allowing for smart development. That’s exactly the balanced, thoughtful approach I’ll bring to Borough Council—ensuring our infrastructure, open space/parks, and local businesses get the attention they deserve while keeping Chalfont’s small-town feel alive.
My career in Human Resources has taught me that there are many sides to a story and an issue. I know it takes time and tenacity to be as fully informed prior to rendering a decision. I can guarantee that it will be my approach. I am insanely curious and want to understand the details and potential impacts. I promise you I will take all points of view and all facts into full consideration before rendering a decision.

My "work" in the community has given me the honor of getting to know many families and individuals in the community. You may not know my name, but you may know me as "the Election guy" or a favorite bartender or server at the NBI or Outback. I've always been approachable, willing to listen, and willing to share the facts as I know and understand them. That won't change as a member of your Borough Council. I will work for the community and responsibly manage our resources and talents.
