The biggest issue facing Buckingham is a failure to plan responsibly for the future—a failure costing us both opportunity and trust. For too long, the township has operated on autopilot: recycling the same municipal contracts without fresh evaluation, clinging to outdated zoning ordinances, and neglecting the urgent need to support our volunteer fire department. This isn’t just inefficiency—it’s negligence. We need leadership that doesn’t just maintain the status quo but builds for what’s ahead. That means competitively reviewing contracts, modernizing zoning for today’s needs, and creating clear pathways to increase volunteerism and community support. We should be partnering with engineering firms that pursue grant funding—not just submit invoices. Our Board has remained virtually unchanged for nearly 20 years. New voices and forward-thinking leadership aren’t just overdue—they’re essential. It's time to restore accountability and vision to our local government.
I am running for Buckingham Township Supervisor because I believe the people should have a voice. As I worked with the community over the past 18 months in trying to stop the proposed Truck Terminal/Warehouse in Buckingham, the township's leadership constantly did not listen to the people, minimized our concerns and spoke down to us. It was clear Buckingham leadership had an agenda and we were nothing but a cog in that agenda. As a community we were forced to raise tens of thousands of dollars to cover legal fees so we could fight this warehouse in court with someone we could count on as an advocate. Buckingham deserves someone who will listen to people, respond to emails from concerned residents, work with people around a table instead of litigate their concerns in court and someone who will look forward to the future of Buckingham while preserving the great things of the past.
As a resident of Buckingham, I have helped lead the community's bipartisan fight against a Truck Terminal/Warehouse proposal that would bring devastation to our streets. I was able to work with residents and hear their concerns who were Republicans, Democrats and Independents. No one's party affiliation mattered. All that mattered was coming together for a common cause and we have had events, meetings, conversations and more that proves that Buckingham can be united as long as we are looking forward towards a common goal. Secondly, I have volunteered this year as co-president of the Cold Spring Elementary HSA helping make sure our students and teachers have fun and the funds for a memorable year! Lastly, as a small business owner and over 20 years working for everything from Fortune 500 companies to small companies I have learned how to properly plan, budget, listen and collaborate not only with folks that have the same opinion as me, but also those who have a differing one.
