Currently serve on the NHSD Curriculum Advisory and Equity Committees
I am not running on a specific policy platform. I have tracked the Board’s work over the years and have appreciated their deliberate approach to reviewing, revising, and reshaping policy as needed. I look forward to playing a role in advancing the district's goals, fostering a supportive and inclusive culture, and ensuring that our schools are equipped to meet the needs of each of our students. My goal is to shape policy that serves the best interests of our children, teachers, families, school partners, and community broadly.
Yes. I am currently a member of the NHSD Curriculum Advisory and Equity committees and routinely attend the full Board meetings (in-person and via zoom) as well as other committee meetings. In my work, I have engaged with Boards of Directors and understand procedures, roles, and governance.
I bring a unique blend of skills and experience that will strengthen the Board’s ability to achieve its goals. In particular, I have demonstrated success as a seasoned nonprofit leader who listens, collaborates, facilitates, and bridges diverse perspectives. These skills will support the Board in ongoing decision making. As a trained clinical psychologist, I have developed research, policy, and practice related to social and emotional development, teacher wellbeing, behavioral and emotional health, and the factors that contribute to positive learning and development. In addition, I have a strong background in measurement and evaluation, which can help guide us in assessing impact. And, I am a parent of two students in the district.

As a candidate committed to the New Hope-Solebury School District and dedicated to making the best possible decisions for the students, staff, and community, I'm not entering this race with a predetermined list of specific policies I want to immediately eliminate, reword, or redirect. My priority is to engage in a thorough and collaborative process with fellow board members, administrators, educators, parents, and students to understand the nuances of our current policies and their impact. My goal is to ensure policies support every student's growth, equity, align with district vision, and adhere to state/federal regulations.
My journey to understanding school board operations has been multifaceted. As a current administrator in a NJ public school, I have had the opportunity to witness and participate professionally in board discussions and decision-making processes. This experience has provided me with an understanding of how school boards function, the roles of their members, and the procedures they follow. Beyond my professional life, my commitment to the NHSD has led me to serve on both the Facilities and Policy Committees. This direct involvement has given me an insider's view of how the Board conducts its business, deliberates on important issues, engages with the community, and the vital role it plays in shaping the educational landscape for the district.
My sixteen years in public education, including twelve as a teacher and coach, have provided a comprehensive foundation in instruction and student development. As a current school administrator, I focus on fostering a positive environment and prioritizing the needs of students and staff. My commitment is backed by advanced degrees in teaching and educational leadership, including a doctorate with dissertation research focused on the crucial integration of social-emotional learning. As a parent of two elementary-aged children, I am deeply invested in the NHSD community. My public education experience, commitment to student success, and collaborative spirit equip me to effectively serve as a School Board Director.

Experience
Elected to the New Hope-Solebury Board of School Directors in 2017 and 2021. I am a past President (2020-2022) and current Vice President, and serve on the Curriculum Advisory Committee, the Policy Committee, co-chair the Equity Committee (2020-present) and am the liaison to the BCIU.
None at the moment. As a current board member and member of our Policy Committee, I am constantly reviewing and discussing our policies. We work closely with our solicitor to ensure that our policies adhere to local, state and federal guidelines, and we consistently review language updates from the PA School Board Association policy & legal services teams.
If elected, this would be my third term serving on the school board. During my service, I have participated in multiple reviews of our structure and procedures.
I am running for a third term to provide continuity and stability for long-term projects and to support our teachers and administrators. In addition to serving on the Curriculum, Policy, and Equity Committees, as an independent art curator I am a strong advocate for arts programming in the district and serve on the NHSD Arts Panel, the BCIU's Arts Education Trust Board, and as a long-time parent volunteer with our theater clubs. In recognition of my commitment to legislative advocacy, I was inducted in 2022 as the 14th member of the PA School Board Association's Allwein Society. I have cross-filed for a third time because I believe strongly in the non-partisan, objective ideals of school board service.

Experience
Current member of New Hope-Solebury School Board
As a Board member, I believe my role should encompass all topics and all areas of our district, and therefore I am not focused on one specific policy platform. All school district policies should be periodically reviewed and updated as warranted. My focus is on delivering educational opportunities to our students by supporting the district’s mission of continuous improvement; maintaining the positive climate that currently exists in our schools allowing our students to thrive; and supporting our administrators, teachers, and support staff.
I have been a member of the New Hope-Solebury School Board since October 2024 when I was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board. Additionally, I have been a very active and long-serving member of the Board’s Finance Committee for over 12 years. This position has provided me with valuable knowledge about the district’s operations and a historical perspective, both of which have helped me to quickly transition into the role of a Board member. I am now also a member of the Facilities Committee, and have served on the Curriculum Advisory Committee in the past. I have always strived to be an active participant in our district and have always made it a priority to closely follow School Board activity.
In addition to my current role as a member of the New Hope-Solebury School Board, I have also served on the Board of Directors for two other community organizations, for which I was also the Treasurer. From these prior Board experiences, I bring a heightened focus on listening and learning, as well as the ability to collaborate well with others. Additionally, my professional background as an actuary provides me with strong analytical and financial skills and a great attention to detail. I bring dedication and diligence to every role I serve in. I am also the parent of three New Hope-Solebury students and a long-serving volunteer for various student activities.
