Experience
SUNY Graduate : Registered Nurse (RN)
I support revisiting outdated or unclear policies to ensure they reflect our inclusion and educational excellence values. I advocate for clearer communication policies, updated facility and safety planning, and stronger support for mental health services. Our district must continuously evolve to meet the needs of students and families. As a long-time Board member and Facilities Chair, I bring the experience and commitment needed to help guide these updates responsibly.
Yes. I’ve proudly served on the Pennsbury School Board for 16 years—including terms as President and Vice President. I currently chair the Facilities and Wellness Committees and serve on the Education Committee. I’m deeply familiar with Board structure, policies, and procedures, and have successfully overseen 10+ school renovations. I value collaboration, transparency, and acting in the best interest of our students and staff.
With 16 years on the Board and 45 years in the community, I bring proven leadership and deep commitment. I’ve led critical projects like the renovation of Charles Boehm, stadium upgrades, and the new high school initiative. As a registered nurse and proud grandmother, I care deeply about student wellness and academic success. I’m endorsed by the Falls and LMT-Y Democratic Committee. My key message: Support the best education our community can afford.

Experience
Former research scientist, physician, and early literacy advocate. Current Pennsbury Board President. Former PTO board member, nonprofit leader, and program founder with deep experience in education and service.
I've actively participated in a full review of District policies in recent years. As education evolves, our policies must too. We recently passed Pennsylvania’s first AI policy—setting a precedent, but requiring regular review to keep pace with change. We need a clear, sustainable policy to guide how we decommission materials and resources, especially as we transition into a new high school. This supports our long-term sustainability goals: reducing waste, reusing what we can, and responsibly recycling what we no longer need. Policy should be both forward-looking and responsive to community values.
I’m in my fourth year on the Pennsbury School Board and second as President. I’ve led meetings, guided governance through growth and change, and helped deliver results for students and staff. I’ve also served in various community leadership roles—from PTO Board Secretary to early education program founder. I understand Board structure and am committed to collaboration and transparency. I’ve prioritized supporting excellent teaching by addressing teacher needs and strengthening instructional support. I’m also proud to help lead our plan to build a 21st-century high school, designed with flexible, future-ready spaces that reflect how students learn and thrive today.
I bring a unique blend of experience in medicine, education, and public service. I’ve worked as a research scientist and pathologist, taught medical students and residents, founded an early literacy program, and led nonprofit and parent organizations. On the School Board, I’ve helped shape policy, champion sustainability, and support excellent teaching. I’ve worked closely with our teachers and staff to understand what they need to succeed. I’m also helping lead the vision and planning for a new high school built to serve future generations. I believe in the power of public education, and I’d be honored to continue serving our Pennsbury community.
