Experience
Over 25 years in education as a classroom teacher in Elementary and Middle School, Special Education Teacher, and Assistant Principal
As a four-year member of the school board, chair of the Education Committee, and a member of the Policy and Personnel Committee, I am extremely proud of the progress Pennsbury School District has made in creating a rigorous and inclusive educational environment. Over the years, we have expanded advanced coursework, introduced more rigorous academic programs, and implemented a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to ensure that all students receive the support they need to thrive. Additionally, our commitment to educating the whole child has created an environment where students can shine academically, socially, and emotionally. However, despite these successes, I believe there are a few areas where we can further refine our policies .
Yes, I have attended School Board meetings and am very familiar with the structure and procedures of the Board. In addition to the monthly action meetings, I lead the Education Committee and serve on the Policy and Personnel Committee. I also served as the liaison to the Bucks County Technical High School for a year. Furthermore, I have run meetings and, at each reorganization meeting, I serve as the Board President until a new Board member is elected to the role. This experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of our Board’s processes and how to facilitate productive and efficient meetings.
My qualifications for this office are rooted in a blend of educational experience, leadership, and a deep connection to the Pennsbury community. As a special education teacher and former assistant principal, I have a strong understanding of school operations and student needs. I’m also a proud parent of Pennsbury students and an alumnus, giving me a long-term perspective on the district’s strengths and challenges. As a committed community member and stakeholder, I’m dedicated to ensuring that our district continues to provide high-quality education that serves the diverse needs of all students. I make an impact by regularly attending meetings and listening to the concerns of parents, educators, and residents.
