I would like to see term limits for board members. I believe it is important to get new ideas and fresh perspectives on the school board and currently there are no term limits at all.
Also, there are no background checks required for board members. Parents and community members who wish to volunteer in our school are held to a higher standard and I would like to see some alignment throughout the policy, at a middle ground.
Finally, I would like to see a shift in the gifted program policy that encourages teachers to recommend students for testing, rather than placing that burden solely on the parents.
Since deciding to run, I have attended all School Board meetings and most of the committee meetings. I am familiar with the board structure and have read all policies regarding local board procedures.
I am a small business owner in Quakertown. My husband and I decided to settle in Quakertown after graduating from Lehigh University, with the goal of raising a family within a quality school district. We have two children, one currently attending 5th grade in QCSD and one who will be starting kindergarten next year. I love being involved in the community. I serve on the events committee with Quakertown Alive and volunteer at the Quakertown ReStore. With degrees in engineering and music, I am passionate about STEM and Music/Art education and want to ensure students are presented with equal opportunities for both.

I would like to see the district’s policy on student searches expanded to be more comprehensive. Specifically, it should include clear guidelines regarding when and how parents or guardians are notified during or after a search
Yes. While I am familiar with BoD structure and procedures, I am sure there is a lot for me to learn.
I’ve proudly served on the board of directors for my homeowners association for the past 13 years. Just two months after purchasing my home, I was elected to the board and joined a team committed to turning things around. At the time, the HOA was on the brink of bankruptcy. Since then, we’ve restored the association to strong financial health, completed essential repairs, and invested in meaningful upgrades and improvements that have enhanced the community.
