I am focused on good school governance rather than a particular policy.
Yes, I have attended many School Board meetings. I also have worked with boards of nonprofit organizations and school boards in a professional capacity.
I have education and professional experience that make me uniquely qualified to protect and strengthen our public schools. I have a degree in elementary education and a law degree. As well, I have worked as a teacher, a school attorney, professor of school law, an advocate for students with learning differences, a nonprofit leader, and grant writer. I am committed to a safe and secure school learning environment for every child, a financially secure public school district, and high-quality education.

I have 6 main areas I want to focus on as a school board director:
1. Improve school infrastructure and the education environment.
2. Allocate targeted resources to improve student test scores. We want to have our student achievement return to pre-covid levels.
3. Implement competitive salaries for teachers and support staff. We want to attract and retain the best talent in the county.
4. Invest in vocational training and apprenticeship programs. Provide students with real career paths besides four year degrees.
5. Expand access to STEAM programs and technology resources, ensuring every student has access to up to date learning tools.
6. End splitting. Our current feeder patterns break up students from their friends. It is a bad system.
Yes, I am a current school board director. I filled a vacant seat in September 2024. Since then I have been actively involved at board meetings, committee meetings, executive sessions, learning sessions, and retreats. The commitment to be a school board director extends to many functions beyond the monthly board meetings.
Aside from being an incumbent, I am an architect and a district parent, with three young sons. I believe my professional training is a great resource for the board when evaluating capital projects. Our district has several large capital projects in the pipeline and having someone with design and construction experience on the board is a valuable perspective.
As a parent with young children in the district, I am in this for the long haul. I am going to evaluate everything; curriculum, policies, taxes with consideration of how it is going to affect students and families now as well as how it will affect them in 5, 10, or 15 years from now. Our three boys are 8, 6, and 1. We are planning to raise them here and are committed to Central Bucks.
