Experience Appointed to Warrington Township Board of Supervisors in 2018; Elected in 2019. Served as Vice Chair 2022-3. Started volunteering in Warrington Township in 1995. Served on a variety of non-profit boards for over 35 years.
Warrington residents face a continuing lack of transparent communication with elected officials/staff. It is frustrating for a resident to have a problem or question affecting their quality of life and have no convenient way to follow through to find solutions.

Information such as: notices, cancellations, safety, road closings, new construction, and community events could benefit from information shared on a resident friendly communication platform.

The revised Township Website is attractive but basic information is hard to find. Many promises, but still no friendly way to find stuff. Also, abrupt cancellation of the LINK, without any public input, disappointed many residents.

I propose an Ad Hoc Committee supported by Board and Staff that includes residents and experts from social media and podcast communication. The work should be time limited and highly accessible to the public. Recommendations must be shared and implemented .
I enjoy the work of being an elected Supervisor. This office is a communication pipeline for residents. My township volunteering began in 1996 as a member of the Park and Rec Board. In 2018, I was appointed to the Board of Supervisors and was elected in 2019. This has increased my understanding of municipal governance and resident wants and needs. Presently, I am the longest serving Supervisor on the present Board.

Supervisors can bring resident ideas to life. Two examples: residents' ideas improved the design of our Police Station and informed direction for the sale of Warrington's ailing Water and Sewer Authority. The latter was sold to public authorities rather than private entities based on feedback from 22 public meetings.

I enjoy working collaboratively on projects that are vastly improved with advice from residents and volunteers serving on Township committees and advisory boards.
My leadership and township service began over 20 years ago. I chaired both the Park and Rec Advisory Board and the Open Space and Land Preservation Committee .

Personally, my ability to listen and learn from others began during my professional training as an occupational therapist. I have worked in a variety of settings: home health, universities and community agencies. My experience is diverse --university administration and teaching, home health therapist, oversight of construction projects, non-profit board leadership and assisting children in equine therapy programs.

Municipal government has many facets. Attending workshops and being a 2nd Vice Chair in Bucks County Association of Township Officials (BCATO) has also expanded my knowledge in areas such as project planning, zoning, resident safety, long and short term budgeting and ideas for future township growth. A "fav" recent project is planning an Emergency services workshop for fellow Bucks elected officials.
