Our borough provides services to our community that our residents and businesses have come to appreciate and expect. Providing these services, including police, utilities, roads, and recreational activities in an economical and cost-efficient manner has been a hallmark of borough council and administration. Balancing the needs of the community with a cost-effective approach, while always looking for ways to enhance the services and contain costs is an ongoing priority. We have put in place innovative solutions and contracts to keep increases in services such as electric to the minimum. We continue to innovate. Public safety is a high priority, and our police department is accredited and highly trained to provide proactive community policing. As Council President and Chair of the Borough Budget and Finance Committee, I provide oversight to the important contracts the Borough enters, as well as the development and compliance with the Borough's annual budget.
It has long been a priority for me to serve, and I seek to continue the work that I've been deeply engaged in within the borough as your council president. As a lifelong resident of Quakertown, working for the community has been an honor. I also serve the community through my board involvement with AHUB (Code Blue Shelter) and the River Crossings YMCA (Quakertown branch).
I am a Certified Public Accountant, for over 35 years, with a focus on financial issues and reporting. In my current full-time employment, I oversee operations of a nonprofit with 80+ employees and 700+ volunteers, handling production, customer relations, and human resource matters. I have served the borough in the position of councilman for many years, including approximately 10 years on the Budget and Finance committee. I bring an understanding of business structure, contracts, and financial accountability to my role on council.

Education Graduate of Quakertown Community High School
Experience 4 years on Quakertown Planning Commission, 3 term Quakertown Borough Councilman, former business owner.
Our biggest challenge is addressing the rising costs of electricity rates caused by much higher demand for wholesale power. This is a nation wide problem. The borough is currently investing in renewable energy resources to meet the demands of our community. We will soon complete an electricity generation project at our sewer plant that captures methane and converts it power for our grid. Further, we are in the early stages of planning for a major solar installation that will reduce our power purchasing from outside sources
I have lived in this great community for most of my life. I am Quakertown born and raised and my wife and I raised our family here as well. We love Quakertown! It is my honor to serve on council and I look forward to continuing.
I served for 4 years on The Quakertown Planning Commission and have been on Quakertown Borough Council for 3 terms. I am a former business owner in the borough. I am well traveled and have a strong interest in learning. I want to help lead the town and listen to the residents to determine the best direction for our community.
