Experience
Former Teacher, Chamber of Commerce VP, Mother of 6. 15 year track record of working with residents, small businesses, schools, and advocating for a more inclusive, connected New Hope
New Hope is at a turning point. As a longtime resident, I hear a common theme: people love this town but are concerned about how growth is being handled. We’re facing challenges with traffic, infrastructure, affordability, and the impact of development on our quality of life. Residents want a say in what happens next — and they deserve a mayor who listens. I will work closely with our police and others to implement real traffic and safety solutions. I’ll advocate for smart, community-focused development that reflects the character of New Hope, not just outside interests. I’ll also support local businesses, address accessibility for seniors and working families, and ensure transparency in all decision-making. We must preserve what makes New Hope special, while planning wisely for the future. That requires leadership rooted in collaboration, action, and care for every resident — not just those with the loudest voices.
I’m running for mayor because I care deeply about the people and future of New Hope. As a 15-year resident, mother of six, former teacher, and current VP of the Chamber of Commerce, I’ve spent years working alongside neighbors, small businesses, and community leaders to make our town stronger, more connected, and more inclusive. I believe New Hope deserves a mayor who shows up — someone who listens, learns, and leads with transparency and compassion. I’m not a career politician; I’m a resident who’s ready to serve. From addressing traffic and safety concerns to protecting our town’s unique charm while planning for thoughtful growth, I will advocate for all who live and work here. My campaign is rooted in collaboration, common sense, and a deep belief in the power of community. I’m running because I believe New Hope’s best days are still ahead — and I want to help shape them.
My qualifications come from years of hands-on work in this community. I’m a former teacher with a background in education, communication, and problem-solving. I’ve served as Vice President of the New Hope Chamber of Commerce, working directly with local businesses and town leadership to support economic vitality, organize events, and strengthen community ties. I’ve spent over a decade volunteering alongside neighbors, advocating for public safety, inclusivity, and smart development. As a mother of six and a 15-year resident, I understand the real-life concerns of families, seniors, and small business owners. I’ve built strong relationships across departments — including police, fire, and other local entities — and I’ve shown up consistently, not just when it’s convenient. I know how our town works and where it needs support. I’ll bring transparency, teamwork, and dedication to the role of mayor every single day.

I’ll prioritize public safety, transparency, and inclusive leadership ensuring all residents feel heard and protected. I’ll also work to keep New Hope a welcoming place for artists small businesses and the LGBTQ plus Community by safeguarding Art culture and investing in smart people first policy.
I am running to ensure that New Hope continues to be a safe, inclusive, and vibrant place for everyone - residence, business owners, and visitors alike. With over 40 years of service in this community as a police officer, Community Volunteer, and advocate, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities we face. I want to use my experience to keep our town welcoming, livable, and economically strong. I’ll bring a steady hand, deep, local knowledge, and a collaborative spirit to the mayor’s office to help New Hope thrive while protecting the values that make it special.
I bring decades of experience in public service, including time as a New Hope police officer and interim police chief and certified crisis intervention and elder abuse officer. I’ve served on the Shade Tree Commision parks and recreation and revitalization committees. I work directly with vulnerable populations and promoted community policing throughout my career. As a longtime resident I’ve constantly shown up for New Hope - through volunteering, advocacy, and leadership. My military background as an intelligence analyst, and my lifelong commitment to Democratic values gives me the tools to lead with integrity, compassion, and results.
