Education Retired Educator
Experience As District English Coordinator for a large School District, I learned invaluable skills in budgeting, collaboration, and problem-solving. Managing budgets for three middle schools and two high schools required fiscal responsibility and transparency.
Lack of transparency, especially with the expenditure of tax dollars, ignoring of public engagement and input, lack of support of park activities and improvements, lack of a borough manager dedicated to Morrisville. I will support hiring a Borough Manager. I will listen respectfully to residents at public comment. I will ask for explanations of items on the consent list and the agenda instead of rubber stamping the wishes of the the Council President. I will respond to the questions of my constituents. I will work to obtain grants for Williamson Park and highlight the strengths of our community: bird town, native gardens. Historic Summerseat, baseball programs, library children's programs. I will support our police to keep our town safe.
I want to work to highlight the many strengths of our borough, ensure that tax dollars are spent responsibly, avoid unnecessary costly legal fees and duplicate studies, involve the community in decision making, and protect and enhance Williamson Park and other green spaces in Morrisville. I am committed to supporting policies that will build on our inherent strengths, maintain a safe environment, and celebrate our diversity and rich history.
I am a 42-year resident of the town. I currently serve on the planning commission. I have been a committee person for 3 years. I have volunteered for family-friendly activities at Williamson Park, tree planting and clean-up initiatives. My professional experience as the English Coordinator for Middle and Secondary Schools in the Council Rock School District gave me invaluable skills in budgeting, collaboration, and problem-solving. Managing budgets for three middle schools and two high schools required fiscal responsibility and transparency—skills that I will bring to Morrisville to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. I also worked closely with parents and educators to address concerns and build consensus, reinforcing my belief in open communication and respectful dialogue.
