Experience
As a 3rd Ward resident for 22 years, I have been active in the community, participating in a wide variety of activities that enrich our Borough. By listening to, and working with our community, we can move forward to make Morrisville a more desirable place to live, work, and play.
Spending by our current Borough Council is misdirected and out of control. Basics, like children’s library programs, are cut, and are instead spent on unnecessary legal fees, unneeded studies and grandiose plans that are hatched behind closed doors. Years of
public input and pleas are ignored. We have no full-time Borough Manager to manage administrative needs. The public has been shut out, with no meaningful way to participate.
Our tax dollars deserve more care. I support robust public participation and respectful responsiveness to residents. I will do my due diligence to explore issues and how they impact our residents and businesses. We need a responsible, transparent and inclusive Council that acts in the best interest of all residents. We need to celebrate all of our rich historical, cultural and environmental resources and the diversity of the people who make it our home.
I am running to ensure Morrisville remains a thriving, welcoming community that balances improvements with responsible decision-making. Morrisville’s strength comes from its diversity of people and resources. We can bring needed changes sensibly, without undue burden on taxpayers. I will fight for fiscal transparency, thoughtful development and strong public engagement—because the best solutions come from working together. As an actively involved member of our community for over 20 years, I have demonstrated a commitment to Morrisville’s success.
With a deep love for this Borough and a strong track record of advocacy and action, I am committed to working for a stronger Morrisville. Together, we can protect what makes our community special while shaping a future that we can all be proud to share.
I served on the Environmental Advisory Council for 20 years and the Planning Commission for 10 years. I have acted as project coordinator for many projects, securing and administering multiple grants. I have worked for the protection and improvement of our open spaces, and contributed to the development of the Borough’s Comprehensive Plans. This experience, along with my volunteering in community events has given me the opportunity to engage with a wide range of community members.
My career as a Registered Nurse has given me the skills needed to prioritize, advocate and be accountable. Ensuring managed care contract compliance gave me experience in navigating complex government oversight and utilizing critical thinking to seek the best outcomes.
When I take on a project or issue, I honor my commitment by seeing it through and doing everything I can to ensure its success.

We need to put Morrisville on a firm financial foundation. Previous Councils reduced taxes, spent our reserve fund to pay daily bills, and cut services. We need more police, money for parks, and overall to make Morrisville a more attractive place to live.
Passing the EIT, while unpleasant, made a huge difference. Now we have the fund needed to qualify for matching grants, now we can afford to hire the necessary police, and re-staff public works.
We just approved a bond issue to that will enable us to repave ALL our streets (worst ones first!); we're obtaining grants that will let us renew our parks. Current Council works well together, and we work well with our very professional Borough Manager. I propose to stay the course; to rebuild our Reserve Fund, and continue to obtain the grants that are now letting us replace police vehicles and equipment, replace and/or upgrade Public Works, and in short, make the town an attractive place to live and work.
To be accurate; I'm running for re-election, and want to continue to be part of the team that improves Morrisvlle. And remember that old Vietnam-era expression: "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."
I want to continue as part of the solution!
Leadership! I successfully owned and managed an export-import business with sales of US$ 10 million. In business it's 'purchasing' or 'sales'; in government it's 'obtaining grants'. I'm able to write a business plan for both - and as part of current Council we brought in $ 1.165 million in grants...previous councils did not...
Leadership also means dealing with conflicting personalities and egos: from negotiating sales in the Middle East (Dubai, Bahrain, Iraq), to purchasing in China and Romania, I've successfully dealt with a huge variety of men and women in a variety of races-creeds-colors - and enjoyed all of it. Yes Morrisville is far smaller, but my 'people skills' are very transferable.
