Experience This position is purely functional and has no power over policy. I have over 20 years of analytics experience as well as owning my own Market Research and Analytics business for over 20 years. I have strong attention to detail, am very numbers oriented, am very organized and conscientious.
I have never run for office before, but think that I would do a very good job. No one loves paying taxes, and while no one in this position can make any policy changes (changes to either amounts or due dates), I can bring my welcoming personality to the role, and make the experience as pain free as possible. In addition to my 20+ years of business ownership and analytics experience, I am also on the Finance Committee and am Chair of the Memorial Fund committee at my local Episcopal church. In terms of additional community involvement, I am a Bucks County member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Education Bachelors in Accounting from Susquehanna University, MBA from Delaware Valley University
Experience 8 years as Doylestown Township Tax Collector, 30 years accounting experience
I am running for re-election because taxpayers deserve to have an experienced, competent, organized, dependable and qualified municipal tax collector. I provide a high-level of customer service to the taxpayer and the taxing authorities, keep clear and accurate records, report all required information in a timely manner, and accurately account for every single payment made by each taxpayer. I expanded public hours during peak processing times and set up online payments. I also assisted taxpayers with property assessment appeals, applying for the homestead/farmstead exemption, submitting documentation for the PA tax rebate program, and helped our veteran's with filing for exemptions. I want to continue to serve my community.
