Biographical Information

What do you view as the most important priorities of your school district and how would you pay for them?

Education Bachelor's of Arts in Economics and Political Science, The Pennsylvania State University
Occupation Wealth Advisor
Qualifications Business owner of nearly 20 years and 15 years in board service and leadership in the local non-profit community
Creating a sustainable budget, facilitating a constructive partnership between the board and the district's various stakeholders (teachers, parents, taxpayers, students), and being a common sense problem solver are my priorities. The district budget should reflect our commitment to academic excellence, a holistic educational experience, and fairness to taxpayers.
Education Bachelor's Degree
Occupation 3PL Manager
Qualifications Project Management, Industrial Engineering
I believe kids need a good education system to prepare them for a sustainable career within the country's economic system. We need to review the education system and identify any gaps we may have to address education problems within the system. The school taxes the residents pay should be covering this process.
Education BS in Biology from Millersville University
Occupation Prod. Supervisor
Qualifications Current East Penn School Board Director, Current Member of the LCTI JOC
My priorities are to create a sustainable budget while continuing to look long term, full transparency with common sense resolutions in order to create a constructive relationship to do what is best for our students, parents, teachers, and taxpayers. Have a safe, secure learning environment, with all students having the same educational opportunities as another.
Education B.A. Psychology, M. Ed. Educational Leadership, Ed. D. Education Administration
Occupation Project Director
Qualifications I have over 30 years of experience in public education and believe all students deserve a high quality education.
In order for students to thrive and succeed we need safe schools that foster a climate of high expectations and innovation. Through a process of continuous improvement we can determine program effectiveness and relevance to identify our return on investment. Making thoughtful decisions includes maximizing resources, leveraging partnerships and investing in the future.
Education BA in Psychology and MEd in Counseling, Millersville University
Occupation Higher Ed Admin
Qualifications Mom of 2 kids who attended EPSD; 30 years working in higher ed, student advocacy; committed to safe, high-quality schools
Our students need to feel safe and supported so they can focus on learning. We need to be able to recruit and retain top educators so that our children can not only receive a great education, but also be inspired to be creative, critical thinkers. We work within our budget with strategic, responsible decision-making on spending. Keep EPSD a Great PA School designation.
Education Bachelor's Degree, University of Pittsburgh; Post-Bacc Teacher Ed. program, University of Phoenix; MBA, Temple University
Occupation Managing Director
Qualifications Parent of two HS students in East Penn, 3+ years as a teacher, leadership & managerial experience with budget responsibility
There are multiple stakeholders in EPSD: students, teachers and staff, and the taxpayers in the community. While priorities may vary slightly among them, academic excellence and student success is key. It is also important to attract high quality teachers and staff, provide an inclusive environment, and partner with the community, all with effective fiscal management
Education Ph.D., University of Wisconsin-Madison (2009)
Occupation Higher Education
Qualifications One term on East Penn School Board (2021-25); parent in the district; resident in East Penn for 15+ years; work in education.
The most important priority to me is raising the culture and communications so that everyone in the district - students, families, teachers and staff, district residents, administration - feels aligned and working together. This is not a costly exercise; it requires some planning and dedication.
