A focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic, preparing students for careers and life, and transparent use of taxpayer funds are key. Ban cell phones K-12—they distract and hinder learning. No cost hikes—prioritize basics and efficiency to ease seniors’ taxes. BASD students deserve practical education and taxpayers deserve fiscal accountability.

We must continue to focus on improving all students' math and literacy skills through innovative teaching strategies and targeted classroom support. As federal pandemic relief money expires, we have adjusted our budget to continue providing our teachers and students with these resources. The increases in state funding have offset the increased costs.

We also need to continue to push for Charter School Reform on the state level. The board will again be forced to make cuts where needed to be as fiscally responsible as we can.
