Initiates and adopts ordinances, makes appropriations, adopts annual balanced budget, adopts an administrative code, approves Executive appointments, conducts investigations of County Departments, accepts grants,gifts or donations on behalf of County, may modify or eliminate departments,agencies or functions that no longer serve citizens.Term: This race is to fullfill the remainder of Term of the Republican At-Large seat vacated by Sam DeMarco. Salary: County Council is a part-time position. Members of County Council do not receive a salary, or funding for an office or staff. Instead they receive a stipend of about $11,000.
