School Directors are elected on behalf of the community to oversee the education of students in their jurisdiction. They serve as agents of the state legislature. They are responsible for curriculum and instruction management; all finances including development of annual budgets and levying of taxes and issuance of debt obligations when necessary; personnel; legal matters; management of facilities; and transportation of students as appropriate. Schools may include pre-K and career and technical schools.

Qualifications for office I have over 10 years experiance working in the education system, I completed an intensive 6 month cohort training for democratic woman who want to run for office, I am a mother and a mental health professional

I am a graduate of public schools and my children attend public school. I have been a mental health specialist in schools for the last 10 years.
I think that districts have to be creative and tap into various community resources and explore grants to help with funding programs where there is a shortfall.
In order to better our future we need learn the truths about our past and our curriculum should be a display of that. Covering up truths or not teaching full truths does a disservice to our students. I believe that books of all sorts should be in libraries as well. THe more knowledge we know the better
