We need to bring in some better paying jobs that hire local citizens . Most jobs here do not pay a living wage. We have the highest poverty rate in our local area. We need to improve on that.
I’m a lifelong Cuero resident. I’m not a move-in or a person that left my community for better opportunity and then came back. I’m not spoon fed. I represent the have-nots, the ones who haven’t been given the best opportunities but are fully capable. I’ve been here through the good times and bad times. I know the issues everyday citizens of this community face because I’ve lived them. I know the struggles normal people face in this community.
They are ready for change. They feel under-served and not represented in local politics. They feel ostracized from their own community, like they have no voice. They feel like there are too many “yes men” who only serve the monied class. They know I speak up for what is right, even when it’s detrimental to my personal life. I’m well-spoken, smart, versatile and fully capable. I work well with a diverse group. Id be a great addition to City Council. Cuero has never had a candidate like me.
