I bring a unique blend of grassroots experience and practical governance that makes me well-suited for this role. I’ve served on the Upper Darby Zoning Hearing Board, giving me firsthand insight into local government processes. As a founder of a community center, I’ve built coalitions, secured funding, and delivered direct services that meet real needs. I’ve led programs like mural arts initiatives and public health outreach, connecting deeply with diverse residents. My experience in community organizing and nonprofit administration equips me to both understand policy and communicate it clearly. I know how to get things done and how to ensure residents are part of the process every step of the way.
To strengthen public trust, I’ll focus on transparency, accessibility, and real community engagement. I’ll advocate for livestreamed meetings, plain-language updates, and regular town halls to keep residents informed. I also want to explore a citizen budget—a process where the community can help decide how a portion of township funds are spent, empowering residents to shape local priorities. Additionally, I’ll host biannual “Welcome to Upper Darby” Open Houses with multilingual info packets and on-site translators to help new neighbors navigate our departments, laws, and services. Trust grows when people feel heard, informed, and involved.
I'm running for Upper Darby Council At-large to strengthen our community through responsive leadership and real results. My experience—from the zoning board to founding a community center—has shown me how to support local businesses, renters, and working families. I’ll fight for cleaner streets, better parks, safer neighborhoods, and accessible housing. I understand how to turn ideas into action and will bridge the gap between government and everyday residents.
