Biographical Information

What specific experience and qualifications make you the best candidate for for this position?

What steps will you take to strengthen public trust in local government and ensure that the decision-making process is transparent and accountable to residents?

What are your top three priorities for this office?

I have 8 years of experience in this role, so I know all the ins and outs of the position and every activity that occurs in the Township. I have a track record of fiscal discipline and calling attention to issues as they arise in the township's financials. I am also a CPA with an MBA and my work experience has only broadened since I was first elected. I have been a controller for several organizations, included some larger global organizations. I am active in the community and am an avid, frequent volunteer for several organizations, including the Red Cross, Team Rubicon, and the Blockchain and Climate Institute. I am also an athlete who still rows and competes on Boathouse Row.
Our local government has already achieved a high-level of trust with the public, as the controls have been in place and the budgets have been executed as planned, i.e. they are not over-budget. The credit rating for the Township has been excellent and thus borrowing costs have been very low. As for my role, I will still be checking over the warrants and expenditures for the monthly meetings. I will also continue providing review and feedback on the budget and will be reviewing the audited financial results. Constituents can also ask me questions and I provide feedback on request.
1. Continue reviewing the expenditures for each meeting. 2. Increase transparency in the Township's financials. 3. Maintain public assurance that the township's funds are being well-spent.
