Affordability remains one of the most pressing concerns for New Jersey's inhabitants. While our state offers an ideal setting for family life, entrepreneurship, and retirement, it is imperative that we ensure these opportunities are accessible to all. To this end, we must take steps such as broadening the eligibility criteria for the earned income tax credit, the ANCHOR tax rebates, and the child tax credit. Moreover, we should collaborate with federal authorities to reintroduce the SALT deduction and foster shared services and municipalities. I will continue to champion these efforts and strive to make health care and prescription drugs more affordable, as well as facilitate homeownership by streamlining savings and purchase processes.
In my opinion, it is crucial that every qualified voter in our state has access to elections that are equitable, unbiased, and safe. That's why I endorse policies to extend early voting, enable same-day voter registration, and enhance the accessibility of voting by mail.

Over the past five years, we have eliminated 18 taxes that were an excessive burden. However, despite our best-in-the-nation public education, we must address the significant disparities in education between different districts in our state. To accomplish this, we need to cultivate a strong teacher workforce, with a particular focus on encouraging candidates from diverse backgrounds and supporting them throughout their higher education. I am committed to promoting legislation that would establish a teacher residency program and provide equitable funding to schools.
Our nation was built by immigrants, and protecting their rights is essential to preserving the core values of our national identity. I am deeply horrified by the Trump Administration’s denial of due process to those being unjustly detained and disappeared. I will do everything in my power to ensure that these fundamental rights are protected here in New Jersey. I stand in strong solidarity with immigrant communities across New Jersey and firmly oppose the presence of ICE in schools, places of worship, and community spaces.
