Qualifications Throughout my 18 year career as a Deputy Coroner with Westmoreland County, I investigated over 9,000 deaths and attended over 500 forensic autopsies. For over 25 years I have worked as police officer with Southwest Greensburg Police Department.
I have witnessed firsthand the challenges our community faces, and I am dedicated and determined to serve with integrity and transparency, and have a serious commitment to making a positive change.

I was an active member of the Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team Region III (DMORT). DMORT is part of the National Disaster Medical System and is deployed during disasters. I have assisted in natural disasters and mass fatality incidents, including the Flight 93 crash on September 11, 2001. I have attended and participated in numerous mass fatality response courses throughout my career.
As your Coroner, my priorities will include helping to bring closure to families of loved ones, by increasing the number of solved unexplained deaths; expanding public awareness of avoidable deaths through drug and alcohol use, firearms, and suicide; and the re-establishment of the Human Remains Detection Canine unit for Westmoreland County.
