Description of office: School Directors are members of a board that sets policy, determines the annual budget and levies taxes accordingly, evaluates the Superintendent, and monitors student achievement. The Board focuses on governance, while the Superintendent is responsible for the daily operation of the district. Boards meet at least monthly in addition to public committee meetings and executive sessions.Salary: None Term: 4 yearsVote for ONE.Candidates labeled Democratic/Republican will appear on both Democratic and Republican primary ballots. Those labeled Republican will only appear on Republican primary ballots.

School directors have collective authority rather than individual. How will you cooperate with your fellow board members to work together on behalf of the students?

Qualifications MASD School Director for 12 years. I serve on budget and finance committees for various organizations.
I feel with my prior experience as a school director and my financial background I will be able to make sound financial decisions for the district. I have no personal agenda other than to provide a solid education for all students without placing additional financial burden on the taxpayers.
I will listen to all sides of an issue and evaluate each situation to determine what is in the best interest of the students, staff and constituents.
